Terrible ice maker

ice maker freezes over weekly and stops making ice. have to defrost it weekly. defrost process takes 40 min and has an annoying beeping sound that you cant turn off. refridgerator is only 3 years old but problems started a year ago.
will not buy another samsung refridgerator. they need to stick with phones and tvs. if you need proof, just google icemaker problems with samsumg refrigerators and see how many hits you get.
come to think of it, i might opt for an iphone next time just to spite them for my waste of $2500 on a refridgerator. complete junk.

i like pretty much everything about this refrigerator. but the ice maker is one of the worst things i've every had. it ices up constantly. you have to go through a 20 minute procedure to remove the ice. and even then you're not sure it will start making it again. every time i go to get ice, i start worrying that it will have stopped. if you enjoy ice, then this fridge isn't for you.

i have had this fridge for about 2 yrs. and after about a yr. the icemaker made terrible noises. contacted repair and was required to make a $95 upfront charge

Had this fridge less than a year.
After getting water out of the dispenser, the water leaks a couple times and drops onto the surface below which is now ruined because of it. -Samsung doesn't cover repair or provide a drip pan or provide the option to purchase one either. The ice dispenser is slow as dirt and we have already had to defrost the thing.
The freezer drawer always falls back after opening. The shelf at the top on the left and right can't hold much weight. Get a fridge with faster ice output and a drip pan for the water dispenser.
