We bought this in December to replace a whirlpool gold side by side. So far we love everything about it. We had a small problem with the long skinny fridge drawer not lining up but customer service mailed us out a new one and it fit perfectly. The French door style is so much easier to organize and clean then the side by side. This fridge leaves ZERO fingerprints, a huge plus as I felt I was constantly wiping my other one. Don't know why we waited so long to buy this.

Had one for about 5 years and the ice maker went out. The door ice and water dispenser leaked like crazy. Ice falling out at random times, and leaving puddles and waterspots. Then it just stopped working. Decided to buy new kitchen appliances and wanted them all to match. Lowes only had the Samsung with quick delivery (a couple weeks) so I got a new fridge to match the rest. Well, 4 months in the thing starts making noise like I had a 1960's VW bug in the wall cabinets. Called Lowes and they sent a tech. Couldnt find the problem but bent some pipe on the compressor to keep it off the back. Worked for a week or two. Called another tech out who reset the fridge. Worked for about 3 months, then here it goes again. Guy came out and said it was the fan behind the freezer basket. But no part. Put it back and it was even louder than before. Had to unplug the fridge during the day so I could here myself think. Finally got the part in and installed. Its been 3 weeks and quiet so far. Wouldnt buy again

We bought this because of the reputation of Samsung. Overall we are pleased with the unit and performance, the main complaint is that the ice maker is very noisy and can be heard around the entire house. That being said we would highly recommend getting the second ice maker in the freezer. We live in southern Florida and ice is a necessity in door unit is not able to keep up with a family or small dinner party. Additional storage and maker is a huge plus despite earlier mentioned noise.

We had a fairly old side-by-side fridge/freezer that was on it's last leg, so we decided to upgrade to a french door style fridge. We love the space in the fridge, and that we now have 2 ice makers, for those parties and get-togethers when we have a lot of people (we'll always have enough ice). The water/ice dispenser is simple, yet effective - the opening fits more of our water bottles than our older fridge did, and overall it's easier to fill them with ice and water. Having a bottom drawer freezer is still a little awkward for us, but haven't had any issues with it. The one thing I'm not sure is the mechanical nature of the handle for the bottom freezer drawer - it's meant to break the seal so you don't have to pull very hard to open it, but trying to teach kids that you don't have to pull so hard is a trick itself, so we'll see how the handle holds up to the abuse from our kids over time. The temperature controls are easy to use and adjust, and the lighting inside is great. Overall, we love this new fridge and consider it a significant upgrade from our old one.

Bought this Fridge in June. It is a great appliance with a few minor drawbacks. The exterior scratches very easily, and the directions state that when you change the water filter you must turn off water supply, which is behind the unit.

I like the fridge. My previous one was also a Samsung. The ice maker on the outside does not have a light And sprays ice chips when dispensing ice. Often ice goes on the floor.
The shelves are not adequate for tall items.

there is a very common feature included with almost every other refrigerator offering a water dispenser that for some reason this company felt was not a necessity. a light!! why on earth would you include a water dispenser and not think that people might possibly need to fill it during the night? have had to resort to purchasing a separate light i could mount on my wall next to the fridge to keep from having to turn the kitchen lights (brightest lights) on at night. i am upset that i purchased this from lowes on their recommendation as what i was trying to buy was out of stock. they should also know not to recommend a product with such an issue as this. it really shouldn't have been made without a light.

I bought this refrigerator from Loews about two months ago. It is very large and has two ice makers which is great. My wife just had her knee replaced and the second Ice maker was a God sent. We have used a lot of ice for Ice packs for her. Great product.

My wife and I researched and bought this Samsung about a month ago. We replaced a 17 year old side by side with the compressor going bad. We have had absolutely no problems or issues especially with the ice making capabilities. We are extremely happy with this. The lighting is very nice and the space is very efficient. We actually have too much space if there is such a thing. Its quiet and just runs perfectly. We were hesitant in the beginning as we have not bought this brand before. We are glad we did and will probably replace future appliances with Samsung..
