the drain line from the top section to the dip pan stays frozen and as a result, the floor of the refrigerator is iced up and it often leaks water on the floor. it also has a gap between the bottom shelf post and the floor of the fridge which results in a sag that makes it difficult to open and close the bottom drawers. i shimmed it with 3 paint stirring sticks.

bought this from best buy in 2015, fast forward to 2017 unit stopped cooloing both fridge and freezer. took 3 weeks to fix via geek squad. fast forard 2020 now the fridge section of the unit is not workkng freezer works fine. now once again need to spend $$$ to fix. what happened to refrigerators that outlasted just about every appliance in the house?

--Doesn't keep cold: 3 years old and it's not circulating cold properly. it's not the fans, it's something in the compressor system, or the circuit board. Keeps dying and have to pull the plug over and over again until it will finally start again, because there is no service in my area.
--The shelves are difficult to clean.
--The doors always show fingerprints.
--Very basic refrigerator, no special features to acknowledge.
If you risk it, confirm there is service offered by Samsung in your area first!

Had the RF26HFENDBC/AA and in the 4th year the refrigerator stopped cooling - cheaper to buy another fridge than fix - Throw away.
Have the RF28JBEDBSR/AA - glad have the extended warranty on this one. Moved in new home on 6/9/2017 and in less than 2 years the ice maker has frozen up twice and would not produce ice and needed to be replaced with all new parts.
Time to find a new brand to be loyal too

I have been looking for a refrigerator like this for years. The bottom freezer drawer with sliding shelf makes frozen items very accessible. The double doors with large shelves allow me to retrieve drinks and frequently used items quickly. The slide out drawer is great for snack items and large platters. The adjustable shelves handle the rest. The temperature controls are easy to understand and clearly displayed. I love the black stainless exterior finish.

Even though this refrigerator is larger than what I had before, I have trouble getting stuff to fit. Yes, the door shelves are adjustable, but only to a certain extent. And the noise! When I first moved into my new house, I thought someone was shooting at me. It still startles me even though I now realize what the noise is. As expensive as this refrigerator was, you'd think there'd be more sound proofing.
Love the freezer. That has been worked out very well.
Have yet to find the water filter. I think it's on the back. If so, it'll never get changed because I'm not strong enough to move the unit.

This fridge is great. We loved it for the simplicity and amazing looks. We purchased the black stainless version and it looks stunning. The lighting on the refrigerator is awesome and a big step up from our previous fridge. The space on the french door top area is huge. The last refrigerator we had was a side by side samsung and that is the very reason we went with the fridge. We did not have to touch the previous fridge in over 10 years of flawless operation. It recently had a fan go out... so we fixed it and we still have that one too! Not letting that one go but figured might as well get a new one and have that as a backup in the garage. So far this fridge is amazing and hopefully another 10 year stretch comes out of this one and the old one too...haha!

I did choose to have the ice maker in the freezer.
Like the headline said Updated Style but just the basics for me.
The unit was delivered when it was 50 degrees outside so it took a short time to cool to operation temperature les than an hour.

Im really picky but this was great buy. Tons of room for my gigantic appetite. Also, icemaker may be too good. We take ice out everyday for drinking and our dogs pasttime but it still overflows. With that said, you have to turn it off and if gets too full i falls behind the freezer drawer. Mini mess to clean but the dogs love the surprise ice that rolls out from the bottom.
