Faulty ice maker design

i purchased this refrigerator nearly 5 years ago. 2 years ago the ice maker started freezing up, no ice being made. we would thaw out, it would work. it would freeze up again. there is also a clogged line causing condensation making a sheet of ice below the cheese draw. again, faulty design. samsung has had this same design flaw since 2009. they know about it! they have yet to change the design. i finally got a samsung tech to check it out, not repairable. design flaw. very disappointed in samsung appliances when i love my samsung phone. they even have service bulletins. shame on you samsung

ice makers freeze, needing monthly defrosting. condenser freezes at drain leaving water under the crisper drawers to can run onto the floor. major defects.

coil freezes over with ice... 6-8 times a year. unload food, remove drawers & shelves & to get to the back cover that's frozen, so plan on 2-4 hours of work defrosting. ice maker has issues also.

I have had this refrigerator for a little over 2 years and have had nothing but issues. Once I hit the 1 year mark my freezer and refrigerator stopped working. It took over a month for the issue to be resolved. The replaced all the inexpensive parts before they could actually identify it. I had to wait for parts to come in which was a total inconvenience. I was out of a refrigerator for over a week. I am thankful I bought the warranty through the vendor because I was told that the part to be replaced cost more than the refrigerator was worth (I believe it was my cooling unit). I've now encountered an issue with my ice maker that is in the process of being fixed.
I cannot stand that when you want ice and use the ice maker it drop water into your glass first, not ice. So instead of just ice you have a combination of water and ice which is annoying because I now have a watered down version of my drink. The maker then leaks because some of the ice sits in the maker and upon melting drips. There is no catch basic for it to pool into so it sits on the ledge until you open the refrigerator door and the water spills onto the floor.
I regret making this purchase and would never buy another Samsung appliance. I would stay away and buy from a company that has more experience with appliances.
Also I have a bubble on the seam of my freezer. I have no idea how the damage could have happened but there is no realistic cause other than someone would have needed to take a screw driver to the seam and pull it apart. I think it has to do with the leaking from the ice maker as it's located directly below but have no way of proving it.

This product is very penny. We bought it as of 7/19/16 and from the start I can tell you it's amazing. From the interior whiteness to the exterior dull but metallic stainless steel color, it amazes me in every way. There's tons of room as well as features, even including some unique hidden features such as extractable extra storage. For any one thinking about getting this, I highly recommend it. 10/10!:)
