i purchased both the washer and dryer as a set at best buy two and a half years ago. the dryer no longer heats so its worthless at this point. the washer at times doesnt even rinse all the way so the clothes are almost dripping with water. i've been a samsung customer for 20 years. now, after so many issues at the expensive price, i will never purchase another samsung product. what a waste of hard earned money. these products shouldnt even be sold as they are. now i have to purchase another set, but it won't be samsung.

i can't say i didn't love this dryer until it broke unexpectedly. i bought it specifically for the steam function and used it almost daily. it was great! i started noticing the sensor dry wasn't working like it should. then it started making a loud noise, seemed off balance throwing folded clothes off the top. i looked inside and noticed a large crack in the back of the drum. i bought an extended warranty from the store, but after researching i see it is a very common problem and can expect it to happen again.

i didn't notice the scraping noise as the delivery men ran both machines at the same time in test mode. later we did a dryer load and the drum was making a scraping noise. a day or so later, a second rapping noise joined the chorus. samsung technical support suggested i contact costco to arrange for a return. not the happiest story.

we purchased ours in 2018 at first i loved it. thats until 1 1/2 years later had to spent $275 to replace the heating element. now mind you its just me and my husband and we are retired so i may do two loads a week. i am so very disappoint. when you spend that kind of money on a dryer you should not have to replace anything in a year and a half. when we purchased ours we decided to purchase all our kitchen appliance with samsung thinking they are the best.

we bought this dryer 2 years ago, it never dried the clothes on the first cycle, and now its not drying anything because it started a fire in my hoise. apparently using all the factory set screw placement was optional. due the the manufacturers failure to place all of the screws the lint was blowing freely into the bottom of the drum, unbeknownst to me. luckily we were home when the smoke started pouring out. i assume you, the samsung washing machine will be next to go and we will never purchase them again.

have had this dryer 2 years. started staining our clothes with little oil spots. cleaned the seals multiple times, but it always comes back. we don't use don't sheets.
on top of that the smart dry features are aweful. items take forever or shut off early still wet. espectially bad on bedding. time dry does not over ride these adverse "smart" stops.
i wouldn't buy this product again.

the dryer won't stop spinning. seems like the control board needs to be replaced which is around $200. i googled this issue and found this problem is very common! i might as well buy a different dryer.

during 3 years since the purchase, no doubt that the dryer performs badly and weakly. it usually does not dry clothes completely even using other drying modes; as if it didn't have sensor. usually the dryer unexpectedly and understandably increases drying time. at those times, the clothes are dried completely, no need to let the dryer complete the drying process. that causes consuming more waste energy than needed. the steam drying feature is not much useful.

Bought this a year ago from home depot. $800! Has a cracked drum. less than a month out of warranty and the representative i will have to pay out of pocket for this to get fixed. This is not an isolated problem. The internet and youtube has many, many videos showing this should have been a recall. My home is littered with many samsung products. I have been a loyal samsung customer for over 15 years. I guess samsung is not as loyal to it's customers. Why would ever buy another samsung product after this?

Dryer does not dry! Recently moved to a new home and thought we were "upgrading" (not) from a Samsung DV7000 at the prior home that was a much better dryer. No matter what cycle is chosen dryer shuts off long before items are dried. We have tried Normal, Heavy, Timed, etc and we have to try to "fool" the dryer to get items dried. The Normal 1:15 medium heat cycle is a joke! Almost impossible to get high heat for any type of load. 1 set of queen cotton sheets takes over 1.5 hours to dry, by having to constantly monitor and keep starting the dry after premature shut off. Can't believe Samsung has built such an awful dryer.
Dryer deserves a "0", but your site will not allow it.

I bought this October 2017. Right after my warranty expired the dryer began to have issues. First the rubber strip around the dryer door began to peal off in chunks. The door still shuts however the strip is gone. Then I began to notice orange/red streaks all over my white laundry. It is clearly rust from inside the dryer rubbing off on my laundry! I bought brand new white sheets that are now ruined from rust streaks. It very disheartening Samsung sells their products with 1 year warranties. We pay so much money and cant even get a guarantee that your products will last more than a year! What a shame!

Not a bad dryer, but some of the features are a pain. The dryer is set to ECO Dry as the default, which means it drys at a lower temp for a longer time. You have to manually turn this feature off EVERY TIME you use the dryer. Also, using the steam function only sprays water onto your dry clothes. There is NO STEAM involved.

I bought my new dryer when I bought my house in April 2018. Its perfect. Last night I dryed a king size plush blanket and a plush throw blanket at the same time. They were completely dry in less than an hour. I love the dewrinkle setting, which always works out great when I oversleep and dont have time to iron. I love the soft jingle it makes when its done, no annoying buzzer. I love my samsung dryer.

Have had for just over 1 year. And very disappointed. Too many useless features. Hard to get it to fully dry anything. Hinge on lint trap is thin and fragile, and replacement is over $50 with shipping. Ridiculous!

I was excited to buy a set of brand new Samsung washing machine and dryer. I thought they were great but a short period of using, specifically, the dryer performs badly. It can't dry a normal blanket, so I have to take the blanket out of roll and let the dryer keep running. At Normal mode, it still keeps running though all clothes are dried completely, even it has moisture sensor. I think its moisture sensor is for decoration, it's worthless. Thus, it absolutely not efficient, or energy saving. The only its pros is sleek design along with popular brand. Keep away from this dryer.

The dryer is barely a year old and I've had to take it apart 3 times to put the belt back on. You can't get to the belt without dismantling the dryer almost completely. Really wish I would have gone with a different brand.

About 3 weeks ago I had to buy a new dryer so there wasn't much time for research. So I went down to my local big box store and saw this dryer. It looked great, would fit where I needed it to go, and was on sale.
Now I hadn't bought a new dryer in over 20 years so I was amazed at all the features they now have, but bottom line is that it does everything it promised and dries my clothes great, at less cost!

We had been without a washer and dryer for several days prior to purchasing this Samsung pair, so had a lot of clothes to wash/dry since we are a family of 10 including 6 children under the age of 11. We have only had this dryer for a few days but have run it thru the mill with several large loads. Our previous dryer took several tries to dry a single smaller load than this dryer. So needless to say, so far, we are very happy with our purchase of this Samsung washer and dryer pair.
