Bought this Samsung dryer to replace my 12 year old dryer expecting to get at least half that life span. this unit kicked the bucket after 4 years. Samsung sent technicians to try and repair - 6 times and counting - no luck. Found out the technician must determine the machine as unrepairable before Samsung considers any accommodation. Meanwhile the technician says they can't deem it unrepairable because Samsung tells them they have to keep replacing parts. so far the motor and pully have been replaced twice, the board, safety sensors and cords have all been replaced at least once. I want my old dryer back.

over the past year, i have had to make multiple repairs to the dryer. i understand a belt failure. i was disappointed, but wrote off the bearing failure that caused one of the idlers to become very noisy, but when the drum developed an 8" crack i decided it was time to write a review.
overall, i would not repurchase this model of dryer. i hope samsung improves their product in the future.

i bought this dryer in 2016 and discovered recently the drum has a crack in it after it started making very loud clunking noises. i have not used it since to avoid any hazards. while trying to write this review, i gave it one star and was told to reach out to customer service to get help, so i did so by chat. this was also not a good experience as i found myself having to wait and wait for answers to my questions. in the end, i was told that i need to get it serviced and the cost is my responsibility since it is no longer covered under warranty. i am still not understanding how the drum cracked when i have taken good care of it. i'm not happy with this dryer and with customer service. will most likely just buy a new dryer from another brand.

I bought Samsung dryer and washer from home depot in Jan 2017. Product broke down after 2 years and poor warranty support and low quality product in my opinion. I d never buy Samsung product again . I dealt with LG and Bosch in the past who stand behind their products . Online chat service is awful also I was placed on hold for long with no response .
Poor customer service . Samsung don't value their customers and doesn't stand behind their products. Products should work more than 2 years . My previous interactions with Bosch and LG were 10 times better . I would never buy Samsung again

As I mentioned in all reviews, I am very happy with the cell phones but not with the appliances. The dryer display was already replaced because the computer inside when bad and now recently some "pully" something for the belt melted and it had to be replaced.

Bought at over $600+ in 2016. Failed in 2018, out of warranty, resulting in a $250 repair. My last dryer was 30+ years old. They don't build 'em like they used to. I'll buy Made in USA next time via Maytag or Whirlpool.

I have had this machine less than a year and I already have a cracked basin. Literally a gaping crack on the inside of my machine. I have only ever put in regular loads of laundry. Makes me rethink my love for Samsung products.

I had as my old washer dryer combo an LG and it also had a stream dry but required to keep filling up a small water tank that was really small and became just a pain and stop filling it. I love that this dryer has its own water line for the steam that requires not refilling or hassle!!!

Exceptionally outstanding.....Finally a quality dryer that does it and more. This dryer has functions that make the laundry life so much easier with kids. I can get loads dry 10x faster than a normal dryer it seems like. The style makes it look amazing and it seems friends always ask where I got them and how they were so competitivly priced. This dryer has smart functions that work with other technology and I love the lint trap which catches everything and more. I love this purchase and life is a little bit easier....

Hands-down this is the best dryer at they were used. It's efficient it dries to just the right level in the steam feature I thought I would not use I have you several times already.
I've used it to fluff my pillows and Kill dust mites in bedding. I can already tell a difference in my allergies.

I have only had my washer for a few weeks, but I LOVE it! I previously had an LG front loading machine, but am really loving my new Samsung. I love the door that allows you to add forgotten items, which my last machine did not allow. I've had the dryer for a couple months now, I typically don't do reviews out of the box unless something is very bad. Installation/setup were fairly typical, I haven't hooked the water up because I'm not sure how often I'll use the steam feature but it's a nice option and maybe one day I'll stop being lazy and get that done. I really like the lint trap, it's much better than my 5+ year old Samsung dryer.
The one thing I really don't like is that Eco Mode is enabled for the Normal dry cycle and it leaves the clothes wet enough that I wouldn't want them sitting in the dryer all day, or over night. I understand wanting to conserve energy but there should be a way to change the default to 'off' if desired. There have been a couple times I've had to rewash clothes because they sat damp for too long wasting more energy than was saved with Eco Mode. I know it's just the push of a button which is why I still rated the dryer favorably but it's a pain in the butt. The controls are also a bit delayed, for instance if you want to shut off Eco Mode and tap the button to do so you might press it a second time before the first press is registered and then the second press is registered turning Eco Mode on again. You'd think with as responsive as phones/televisions are that a company that makes both would have a better (quicker) interface for their dryers. Again this isn't the end of the world it's simply annoying if you're in a hurry and have to press the same button 3(or 5) times because you're not sure if the first one registered or not.
Other thoughts: I'm not a fan of the chime that signals the clothes are dry, why isn't there an option for the old school buzzer sound?

We've been using this dryer for about two months so far. Have the matching washer with this dryer stacked on top. It is a bit too tall to see the dryer to display from the floor. We tend to use the same setting for everything, so love the programmable 'My Cycle' and it makes the visibility issue less of a concern. Overall very pleased so far and the capacity is awesome!

When my dryer died, I went on the hunt for a new one and loved the design of this dryer (the extra bells and whistles didn't hurt either). I have been using it since the 12th of November and do not have a single complaint. It drys quickly and steams my clothes when I don't feel like ironing.

We bought this dryer two months ago, and the main control board has just gone out on it. The service technician told us that it would be 9-12 business days before the part would become available to them, and then they would ship it to our house. Possibly 3-4 weeks total from failure to repair!! This seemed outrageous for a popular dryer. Surely Samsung would have plenty of parts in stock. I called Samsung directly and got in touch with their parts department, and I was told "We do not stock control boards". What?! If a control board fails, I guess they order it from the factory in Korea or somewhere, and the customer just has to deal with it. Unfortunately for me I have two kids in soccer 4-5 days a week, so I get to either drive to a laundromat every day, or buy another dryer. Glad I bought this unit and paid for the Geek Squad protection as well!
