1. The dryer makes towels smell like an ashtray.
2. Even the cold gentle cycle shrinks cloths.
3. There is a film that builds up on cloths that is especially noticeable on black cloths.
4. The dryer does not completely dry towels or sheets.
5. Even the cloths washed on gentle cycle come out wrinkled.
6. The washer is so loud my neighbor complained.
The service technician attributed the shrinking to the steam technology. He could not identify any problem with the appliance. I was going to leave a review on the Costco purchase location but they no longer sell this appliance.

I owned the 2006 version of this unit - lasted 18 year At the time it came with a portability kit 4 casters and snap on kitchen faucet thing. I need to replace it and this looks like it could be the one I have an extra portability kit and wonder if theres any reason this unit would not work to replace my old LG WM3431HW?

I am giving this product 2 stars because it did do a decent job of washing and drying light clothes. DO NOT buy this if you want any towels or anything more than maybe 5 articles of clothing washed at a time. Also no bedding. I bought it in 1/24 and have had to repair it once in May 2025 and it broke again this weekend. Its expensive to repair and now my husband is waiting on LG to hear regarding another repair. If you have to buy it buy a very extended warranty.

I was concerned about the negative reviews so I avoided this product at first but a plumber for my building recommended it so I took another look. He said he had already helped install three of them in my condo complex and had received positive feedback about them
I am very happy with the machines communication skills - I dont really use the app at all but I might someday if I need the laundry done ASAP. I use the wash and dry cycle for my towels and tough items and usually use the bulky cycle for my more delicate ones. The machine alerts me when it is time to clean the tub which I find very helpful.
I have two drying racks I use to save energy and keep delicates safe. I live alone with two cats too so the capacity is sufficient for my needs. The noise is about as loud as my dishwasher. I might turn the signal alarm volume down or silence it as I find the melody a little annoying but otherwise I am very happy with my purchase. I am very impressed that a machine can both wash and dry. I use compostible wipes to clean off the lint around the door when it gathers and I have not had any trouble with clogs. I am happy to be using less gas every month Thank you LG

My LG WM3555HWA washer vibrates so violently during the spin cycle that it moves across the floor. Ive followed all customer service recommendations and have had a technician inspect the machine three times yet the problem remains unresolved. Neither Lowes nor LG will offer a repair replacement or refund.
Recommended fixes included using anti-vibration pads placing the washer on a floor mat leveling the machine and adjusting the feet. While these measures have reduced how far the washer travels as shown in my video they havent resolved the underlying vibration issue. Now it takes only a couple of wash cycles for the washer to shift off the mat. See before-and-after photos. I regularly have to lift the machine back onto the matalways a two-person job. As it shifts it becomes unlevel requiring us to lift it again to readjust the feet.
The first service call was through LGs warranty the next two were under my Lowes extended warranty. The same technician was sent all three times. He has been consistently unprofessional and clearly uninterested in diagnosing the actual issue. At this point I believe his sole purpose is to deny valid warranty claims. Lowes states that they cannot take action unless the technician declares the unit unrepairable. However he continues to insist the washer is fine despite ample evidence to the contrary.
I specifically requested a different technician and was assured one would be assigned yet the same individual showed up again. After a second request and another promise for a different technician I see the same name on the next scheduled service ticket.
This entire process has been incredibly frustrating. Im stuck with a defective appliance while Lowes and LG continue to pass responsibility back and forth instead of providing a real solution.

The washer works great but the dryer mode does not work. After a wash cycle the clothes are clean and only damp however if I run a drying mode after that they come out completely sopping damp. An authorized LG technician came within a week of purchasing this unit. They ran diagnostics for 5 minutes and they were told that LG said that everything works normally. Let me tell you it does not the clothes come back SOPPING WET. Customer service says everything is normal. Avoid avoid avoid

Bought our unit in 2015 and just starting to have problems with it now 9.5 years later. Until now it has been reliable and cleans well. The issue some have with drying is notable. When the chime signals that the cycle is complete do not wait to pull items out or they will dampen as they cool. Heavier Items like towels may need another drying cycle. Otherwise this is a wonderful product for a small household of two people.

We purchased this washer/dryer combo in 2018 but wasnt used for 3 months while our bathroom was being renovated. We have a large capacity washer and dryer in our basement that we use for heavy duty washes such as sheets and towels. The combo was only used for our personal clothing. This machine has been repaired twice close to $500 for each service call and parts. Four months ago it stopped working again The quality of this product is terrible

This machine annoys me. It washes clothes just as well as my old machine. The display is not simple. The manual assumes the user is a techno-geek.
The drum leaves lint on the door. The door where the lint is supposed to end up doesnt collect very much lint but does collect water that floods out when that door is opened.

I have had the All-in-One washer/dryer combo for a few months now. This is small and fits into a bathroom closet. The no exhaust and standard outlet 15 amp are a plus. My problem is that the product shakes and bangs against the wall. I move it and it just moves back against the wall. Too loud and vibrates The system is heavy and not easy to move. Hence we rarely use it. Unfortunately may sell it to recover some of my cost.

Absolutely terrible unit I just put one in my condo and it doesnt dry at all. Ive gone through all of the trouble shooting guides and links that Ive been sent and it still doesnt work. It has now been weeks and LG has yet to be able to get a service person out here to fix the unit or replace it. Terrible unit and so far terrible service.

This came with the apartment Im renting and Ive never encountered a worse machine. You have to wash and dry together and the machine WILL NOT DRY ANYTHING. My clothes come out damp and hot no matter what dry cycle I put it on. Not having a dry cycle only is insane. The wash dry cycle also takes hours and the machine locks- so if you forget to throw something in or want to take something out early- too bad You have to start all over again. Wont dry takes forever smells awful. Would rate a 0 if I could. GET ANYTHING ELSE :-

I love this machine. It works great for my daughter and me. We have a relatively low volume of laundry. Clothes come out clean and dry. It has a lot of different cycles and you can customize them and control them from the app...or not the app isnt required.
I appreciate the space it saves. This is going to allow me to move my laundry upstairs where the bedrooms are into a small space without the hassle of a dryer vent. Im not sure it would be a great choice for a high laundry volume household but for us its perfect.

This unit was delivered on June 22. It has a malfunctioning vibration sensor which was failing sporadically. Service tech was here on July 10 and I now have one scheduled for August 9 knowing what I know today I would never have bought this. The machine currently is not usable.

I purchased the LG washer dryer combo. The first unit that was delivered did not dry my clothes. They was still dripping wet and hot. A second unit was delivered to replace the first and the same thing happened. I called the help desk and was told that I needed to dry one piece of clothing at a time in order for proper drying or the unit was not level or the lint filter was full. No help I now have a washer but no dryer having to bring all my clothes to a laundromat to dry No one wants to listen to me.

I bought this unit last summer to use in a small cabin on an island in the middle of a lake in the Adirondacks. I purchased it from Lowes who delayed and delayed and delayed its delivery until October when the cabin was closed for the season. It sat unopened until I came back up this spring and when I opened the cardboard box which looked like it had sustained damage the unit was broken -- as if it had been dropped -- and it leaked water all over my cabin. Lowes insisted the issue was not theirs but LGs. LG said it wasnt covered under their 1-year warranty because the damage had happened after it had been shipped to Lowes. This was a deeply frustrating experience of finger-pointing and responsibility-avoiding on the part of both Lowes and LG. Would seriously reconsider ever purchasing anything again from either vendor.

We bought this almost a month ago and I have used it at least once a day since we got it. I absolutely love how well and how gently it cleans our clothes linens towels etctheyve never been as clean as this machine can get them. Its wash cycles are much quieter than our old machines too. The dryer function is indeed slower than a dedicated dryer but because we line-dry most of our clothes the dryer function is not that important to us. Im looking forward to trying out such features as remote activation and delayed start. Finally while this machine is perfect for our needs I feel obliged to add that there are only two of us living here and that we can easily use the laundry room in our building for large items like blankets. If your situation is somewhat similar then I enthusiastically recommend this machine.

Not only does this washer offer every setting you could want in a washer but it is simple to operate and so quiet you will need the end of cycle alarm to know that your load is done. We are 67 and 70 years old and found our unit very easy to operate we didnt really need the instructions

I bought this 3 years ago. I have several LG products and this is the one that has ever given me issues. The model I bought has been replaced by the next version up and hopefully the new version has resolved the issues. The issues first appeared during the first two years warranty. It took a few months but LG was able to find the intermittent issue and LG repaired it free of charge. I purchased the extended warranty and have had issues since as well which they are working on.
The unit itself is fairly nice when it is working. Keep in mind that it isnt designed to put out as much laundry as a standard unit set. It takes about 3.5 hours to do a load 1/4 the size of a load from a standard washer and dryer set. It is designed to take less space only require 120V and only need a drain no dryer vent. It is great for casitas tiny homes and other small space applications. Because it does not require a dryer vent it can be placed anywhere there is a drain not just external walls. It is nice in that you dont have to wait around to swap the load from the washer to the dryer which is nice for night loads or starting loads before running errands. As long as you have the strengths and limitations of the all-in-one washer/dryer in mind this is a pretty nice option...when it is working.

I ignored most of the negative reviews because this is the internet and anyone can get mad and say a bunch of stuff that isnt true or the fact lots of people dont know how to load these machines to dry properly. Ill start with the good: it washes and dries extremely well The bad is that the VIBRATION SENSOR DIED AFTER 3 DAYS. I understand technology and it was probably just a one time issue but the fact it is a BRAND NEW unit and lasted like 3 days is crazy to me. LG did cover it under warranty the part mustve been backordered and they dont provide tracking #s for parts so after 3 weeks of waiting its finally fixed.

I live in a small place and very few units will fit I had the room for a small compact washer and dryer but decided a combo unit would be best for me. No heavy wet cloths to move from washer to dryer. it is fairly quiet but it is loud during the spin cycle. I also had to take extra steps in the installation to keep it from walking during the spin cycle. I add the laundry before bed and set the delay to start around 3am so when I get up I have fresh clean clothes to start my day. Very happy with my combo unit I just wish I didnt need to take it for a walk.

We have had the Washer/Dryer only two weeks and it works great for us. It takes a little getting used to because of its small capacity but it is fine for a two member couple. The unit is quiet and works great getting clothing clean. Has many features that we have not yet used but we are confident that it will exceed our expectations.

I have had this machine for 3 months and I should have done this years ago. Everything is all on one level now but still have back up washer and dryer downstairs for heavy blankets when I need them. My husband hooked everything up and the combo is now in my pantry with chest freezer and many shelves. No need to go up and down stairs anymore.

I bought this about two months ago and it worked amazingly for a month. I was being stupid one day and overstuffed the machine with my comforter and hoped for the best. Unfortunately its been making sounds 10-20 more and louder. Cant really blame the machine because I was too lazy to take the comforter to the laundry shop that day. 4 out of 5 stars overall because its a really unforgiving machine if you mess it up once its just not the same anymore. Treasure it and protect it

My new LG washer dryer combo is great. Im not sure it would satisfy a couple who have more clothes to wash but it handles my loads. It also looks great Ive had trouble getting the app to work and need to put more time into that. I hope I dont need service anytime soon and that when I do it is satisfactory.

Ten years ago I bought an earlier model WM3987H with a 3.6 cubic feet. When it recently broke down I decided not to repair but to replace with a newer smaller version. While taking out the older version was a bit complicated in a very small bathroom installation of this smaller version was simple. There has been a learning curve as the technology has really advanced since 2011/2 including the steam function. Overall I am extremely happy with this version as it seems to be faster and more intuitive. Also the ability to use my cell phone to monitor the washing/drying cycle is really convenient.

I recently bought a new one of the same machine since my old one finally gave out a me after almost 8 years. The machine is very compact and all in one. It takes care of everything all the one cycle or you could separate it. You just have to be sure to keep up with the maintenance and wipe out the lit trays and the machine will last you a very long time I highly recommend For small apartments that dont have the space for stackable washer dryers

I bought this machine for my small home after reading some reviews at Home Depot. However I have had to replace the drain pump NO LESS THAN 8 TIMES Clearly this motor was not made for a condensing dryer use As an Industrial Designer I can tell you this was either not tested or allowed to pass to save money either way it reflects poor design and horrible customer satisfaction.

We were so happy to find we had a washer/dryer combo in our time share unit. This one is better than the Haier in our other unit but you can only wash a couple items at a time and my jeans were soaking wet when they came out of a dryer and who has heard of a nearly 5 hour cycle
