Within 7 months the fan motor became an issue -LG advised they have no repair service where I reside - THIS was never told to me when I purchased the refrigerator in 2/2024 - so NOW we are in the 5th week LG sent me the parts - I have no clue what to do with the warranty parts They now tell me they will hopefully have someone contact me in 24 to 48 hrs By then I will be going into my 6th week without a refrigerator and a MAJOR Loss of food I love the refrigerator but upset I was not told about the lack of repair service in my area

I purchased my new LG fridge a month ago and really like the style and practicality of it. The ice maker takes up very little room allowing for more freezer storage and the fridge has a lot of space and see through drawers to not loose track of whats inside. Great product

I bought a new refrigerator in May and have been trying to get a part replaced since that time. It is now Aug. 2nd. The part had to be ordered twice after many phone calls I have received the part. It was supposed to be installed yesterday the person never showed. I called to reschedule and they can not give me a new time because there calander does not go out more than two weeks. They didnt even tell me what to do now.

The Good Very nice and impressive-looking Refrigerator it is very quiet and cools well The Bad It is extremely expensive The Ugly. It took two months to resolve the problem. They could not fix it but thanks to the 5-year extended Warranty we got our money back

BAD Delivery and Customer Service - BEWARE

Tried ordering this refrigerator added each and every available service including haul away and the extended warranty. When the delivery person arrived they told me they couldnt deliver the refrigerator because I didnt buy installation service. I tried to explain that there were no installation services available when I made my purchase and that I purchased the haul away which was the only available add-on option. They had to reschedule my delivery for 10 days later and when I called LG customer service they admitted it was an error on their website where the installation services was not available for purchase. Customer service is extremely bad. Ive spent 1.5 hours on hold today and no one has been able to escalate my issue. No supervisor was available. Tried calling customer service again and they literally told me to call back in 3-5 business days. Absolutely unacceptable especially considering the cost of this appliance. My elderly mother has no refrigerator because of their mistake and they do absolutely NOTHING to fix the issue or make it right.

We bought this fridge because it fit and could be delivered quickly after our old fridge was beyond repair. So far 2 months it working fine. Im very concerned about the reliability and the compressor failing in several years. The true test of quality is if it lasts 20 years.

I have only had the refrigerator for about 2 weeks and so far I really like it. Its quite and the ice maker works fast. There is plenty of room. My only wish so far is that it didnt show fingerprints so much.

Ive had this refrigerator for over a year. It is nice looking and reliably cold. My frustration has been with the ice maker. It does not work as it should.
1. When the ice fills to certain point the bar is supposed to come out to stop ice production on its own. I dont know if its ever done this. I tend to hear a grinding noise coming from the freezer. When I open the door the ice has over flowed to the very top and the new ice thats trying to pop out cannot due to space--thus the grinding noise. I end up having to turn it off entirely and wait until Ive used more of the ice.
2. When the bar is down which happens on occasion and has stopped making ice. I then have to reset it. I do what Im supposed to do by putting a paperclip into the tiny pinhole on the side for 3-5 seconds and...nothing happens. I put the clip in again and again and nothing happens. Ive given up and just put the ice bucket back on and go about my day. Later I notice the bar has moved back but not at the point of reset.
3. I shouldnt have to reset my ice maker so much It is the only thing I have to regularly do to keep it functioning. Ive never had to do anything like this with any other ice maker Ive had.
So...its really the bar. Its unreliable and unpredictable making regular repairs necessary.

Good locking expensive Refrigerator according to the it should last for a long time But during the first couple of months the Ice maker stopped working since it was under warranty so they fixed it After about a year they replaced the Ice maker because it was not working Now since about a year and a half I am without Ice and cold water again because the Ice maker is not working I received promises but for over a month so far they did not fix it or replace it despite that I paid for a 5 year Warranty So what shall I say GOOD LOOKING VERY EXPENSIVE REFRIGERATOR OF MARGINAL QUALITY AND POOR CUSTOMKER SERVICE ? Or maybe just bad luck?

This is a new $9000+ side-by-side built in refridgerator. It is at a rarely used family residence/cottage. We have had issues with the water/ice maker performance soon after it started getting used. The first service call reported it was getting water but they didnt know anything about this model..and then they left. The second visit from a team of two servicemen declared the water filter needed replacing but left without doing this. Strange because it was rarely used-no one lives there An OEM filter was installed and still nothing works. The 3rd visit never came never re-scheduled we need a caretaker to let them in and we are still in the lurch. We are not happy at all.

I gave this frig 1 star in earlier review for this review. please take the 1 star as negative 1 star.
The water line in the freezer door frozen problem is yet to be fixed. 2 tech from AE ordered replacement door during 2 separate visit non has shown up. AE is supposed to replace broken tray bracket due to poor workmanship and missing screws but they just keep marking problem as fixed/cancelled. during last call to LG GVC was assigned the task but they never contact me and order cancelled by LG. I just called LG today Frontier is assigned to tackled this unsurmountable task.
worst yet LG part department has no record of door getting ordered nor did they know what has been going on with the repairs/visits all this time.
so much for a frig I paid $10000 for. serial # 211KRGGLT887 LG knows how to contact me.

Weve owned this refrigerator for less than six months and have had the ice maker replaced twice. Unfortunately LG has insisted on sending the same service company for a third visit. The vendor theyve selected performs no diagnostics but just replaces the part. LG customer service has shown no interest in helping solve this issue with another provider or their own technician. Ill now be sitting in my home all day for the third time waiting for the same technician to arrive and not resolve the issue.
Weve used LG products for years and are surprised by the lack of a good faith effort by their customer service team. Would strongly advise against purchasing this product or expecting them to ensure the quality of it.

Overall we are very happy with this fridge/freezer. We love its storage space water dispensing unit etc. The reason for only 4 stars is because the refrigerator door mechanism recently stopped working. By this I mean that the door used to close and open slowly cushioned by some mechanism to slow it down. So if you left the door slightly ajar it would slowly draw itself closed. Likewise when one opened the door there was some resistance so that one couldnt just fling the door open too quickly.
Well now that doesnt work. We have a 5-year maintenance plan so we had the technician out. It seems that the adjustment or fix for this is located behind the unit not in front as the freezer door side has it. This means that to fix what is admittedly a minor inconvenience the entire built-in unit would have to be pulled out This requires coordination between two companies and it simply not worth the hassle. I think this is poor engineering from LG like placing the water pump in a car so that the entire engine needs to be removed to fix it.
Otherwise we love the fridge We just have to be careful not to fling the door open too quickly.

I bought and had this installed 10 weeks ago but immediately had problems. I could not use the ice maker due to a leak which almost ruined my newly-installed hardwood floor. It took almost two weeks for a repair company to replace the ice maker but there was still a water leak issue. See attached video. Finally after 8 weeks the technician identified the problem as a bent water hose inside the door a result of poor manufacturing/assembly.
Also when looking up my refrigerator by its serial number LG has it categorized with the wrong make and model altogether. It is a side-by-side not top/bottom refrigerator.

bought this frig end of last year received it early Feb. build quality can use a lot of upgrading. First water line going to the dispenser keeps getting frozen. Repair Tech visited twice LG senior tech determined it was not repairable and need a new freezer side door. Door still has not shown up after 2 months
2nd problem: the tray in the frig has been wobbly since day 0 we finally identified the problem : the railing was not faster to the frig wall I am trying to get LG to ship me screw.
Getting thru the robot on their support system take some effort but I rather not have to call support call.

This is our second LG fridge - the first being a 36 model in another house we have subsequently sold and so far this 42 counter depth model has been all it promised to be. Temps are right on no more frozen veggies and no more runny ice cream. The lighting is exceptional and having all the drawers and door self closing is exceptional.

Stopped working several time and was Compressor was replaced and 4 months later it is not working again. Very disappointed with LG and have been a loyal customer for years and every other appliance I own is LG. I will be replacing it with another brand.

Adjustable door shelves are great quick to adjust and sturdy. Ive never had a counter-depth refrigerator before but I love the form factor so much easier to find thing when the fridge is not as deep. Only two minor complaints the its not magnetic so my kids were disappointed that they couldnt hang their artwork anymore and the ice/water dispenser rotates through the modes cubes-water-crushed which is a little weird because if youre not paying attention you go from crushed-cubes and make a mess.

Only have three weeks with the new 42 refer but so far we love it. Lighting is excellent and makes it very easy to see the entire contents without having to dig through everything. The self-closing dors and drawers are THE BEST LG did an amazing job of desiging and building this product - well worth the ugly cost of a 42 refer. Well done
