I purchased this microwave Model MHEC 1737F from Barons appliance in Laconia New Hampshire. I did my research and was told by LG direct customer support that the front panel controls would illuminate upon tapping the front panel. LG even dispatched a service tech to remedy the problem. Service tech from Barons Appliance Reliable appliance Repair came to my home yesterday and confirmed that this model does not have panel illumination. I would like to receive a credit for what I have and purchase the LG microwave with the Glass Controls that do illuminate. I believe the correct model I do need is the LG Studio MHES1738F.

Wow it wasnt enough that I submitted a critical review two weeks ago based on my experience of having to make 29 separate calls in to LG support spending more than 6.5 hours on hold over 6 days and finally getting a firm no they cannot help me with the fact that the product showed up with hidden damage that became apparent after installation theyve now doubled up on the request for a survey. Well here it is.

This over the range microwave oven works beautifully but the reason for the 1 star is because we had it for 5 weeks and the whole things jus shutdown and went blank after a use one day. We had it repaired and under warranty. That was interesting as well. That was a two day process as LG could not find a repair company in my area. We needed to dismount this 75lb thing on our own to have it ready. I remember telling my husband could you imagine if we were older and couldnt do this physically? What an insane request. We did it and the repair guy only had it 24hrs Thats awesome for todays market.the repair guy said it overheated. Thats insane If it was a $50 microwave maybe but considering I spent 10x that on this I would expect better quality.

Longtime fan of all things LG with dozens of major appliances purchased. Was very excited to get this latest combo oven. Alas despite a pre-inspection in the box and no signs of outward trauma the oven must have received a blow to the bottom left corner which bent the lower door hinge. Door will not close securely and the oven light stays on when closed. Since it was more than 48 hours after receiving the unit there is no remedy or replacement option. My main complaint is that the support system is very difficult to navigate. I ended up with a polite no which I can understand its just that it took literally 29 calls to support staff and 6.5 total hours on hold and after several maybes and 3 yes answers I got the official no. My advice is to please check the product thoroughly immediately upon delivery with the unit out of all packaging. I would purchase this again love the oven.

I was concerned that I wouldnt need anything more than a microwave but was i wrong This microwaves airfrys and convection cooks I find myself using it more than my other appliances. While its not 1200w - it only just adds a few more seconds to microwaving something - so really not a dealbreaker given all the other features Thanks LG for another excellent appliance

I have called several times regarding convection bake features and I do not believe the representatives were knowledgeable about my questions. I requested that someone more informed call me back regarding my questions and was told someone would call me back within 48 hours but no one ever called me back.

I am only giving this product 3 stars because 1 the stand and tray that is provided for the air fry did not crisp my food because it is a solid tray without holes for air flow 2 when using the convection oven I have to take out the glass tray or else my rectangle dish keeps hitting the door because of the rotating glass tray 3 you cannot customize the air fry option. You can only choose from the a list of 1-9 and not everything I air fry is on that list. I bought this thinking I could get rid of my air fryer on the counter but I was wrong.

Weve had the LG Smart Convection Microwave for a couple of weeks now. I particularly appreciate the quiet 5-speed fan. I also love how easy it was to turn off the sounds--Im not sure why manufacturers think that we want loud beeps and melodies and I wish I could turn them off on all my appliances. On the other hand it is very difficult to see the controls which are in a fine dark gray font on a black background with no lighting of any sort. I misunderstood other reviews when they mentioned the light going on when you open the oven. That refers to the light inside the oven only. There is no way to light up the control panel. Ive added white labels to the front of the oven so that I can see where the buttons for light and 30 seconds are.

Weve been using this unit since June. We love the size Its also easy to use. We have not used the steam component yet. The only issue Ive had is the air fry feature. There isnt a way to set the air fry feature for a particular temperature or time. There are preset options. you just have to pick one thats close and go with that. Other than that we love it

For years I have used my microwave and air fryer multiple times a day. My air fryer counter top oven took up valuable counter top space . I researched dual purpose air fryer / microwaves for months and decided on the LG ThinQ . I really like it but there are a few things that need to be changed
1. The options on the door example microbe options are are to see unless the lights are on in the kitchen. Please have an options to back lite the options.
2. The metal stand that comes with the ThinQ is not sturdy and the rubber covers come off the legs . Please shorten the legs of the metal stand and attach the rub covers to the stand .
The unit works great just needs to few tweaks

We are currently working with Tiffin Motorhomes to replace our unit. We have not been able to get functional use from day one. We have to hold the door closed in order for it to do the heating functions. All other lights and timers work fine.

I love the versatility of my conversion/microwave oven. It has so many wonderful options and ability to scan bar codes to program correct cook times for food.Im just getting to learn how take advantage of all the cooking options. First of all its the most beautiful appliance in the kitchen. No handles to mess with handle is hidden and the inside is stainless rather than the normal white. This unit does it all from making and then reheating dinner to convection baking and air frying. What a dream to work with this thing. Leave it to LG to come up with this wonderful unit. This is our second LG microwave our first one lasted well over 10 years and the changes and additions they made on this one are phenominal. Love it what can I say.

Sadly we looked at the size and features totally forgetting to check the microwave power output. Turns out its only 950w - pretty much useless if your used to a stronger microwave. Convection and Air Fryer seem to be down as power as well BUT if you really need a multi-function oven this might be a solution.

We bought this to go above the stove. Also we were able to have the outside vent use. The fan is noisy. Especially at the higher levels. It has the air-fry convection features. Con: Its difficult to read the control panel because of reflections.

I am so excited that I purchased this micro/convection oven. I like to host holidays and this is perfect to cook the sides when you run out of room in your primary oven. There are so many automatic settings to choose from when using the microwave steaming veggies defrosting meat or cooking frozen meals .. it takes the guesswork out of how long food needs to cook. I would recommend this to a friend.

I am still getting used to the Airfry function I havent figured out the perfect timing to make items crispy so far everything has come out a little soggy. The microwave is a little underpowered -- only 950 watts -- which leads to longer cooking times.
Im very disappointed in the Convection cooking part of this combination appliance. Trying to make some oven-roasted potatoes was an exercise in futility taking more than a hour at what was supposed to be 425 degrees -- the oven never actually got to the temperature according to the thermometer I had placed in the oven to verify. In short it was a big waste of time and energy. The potatoes never got properly crisped as the always have in my conventional oven.
As for air frying the performance is not too impressive either but at least its better than deep frying in all that oil.
Only a limited number of the many features seem to work as well as I had hoped.

When we bought our new RV this was in there. Only used a couple times for baking. Pizza takes much longer to get crust crispy enough. Havent used air fryer feature yet. Will add more review as I experiment more. Thanks. Wish the front panel would light up the different features because they are hard to see to which one to push.

Bought March 23 broke March 27th. Warranty work STILL NOT completed Customer service no longer contacts with updates. Repair tracking number suddenly says no status for that repair number. Had to buy a counter top microwave NOT LG just to be able to heat our left overs. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED
First LG product that I have had issues with. In this case customer service has been a dis-service.
