I like the unit. It is quiet and cools quite well but the control panel already went out after only one summer of light use. Since it is after the one-year warranty I have called and Live Chatted with LG and received number after number for repair companies and none do window units. I am completely disillusioned with LG and their customer and product support. The attached picture shows what the AC temperature should be. It is 66 degrees not 19.

Very quiet I liked it so much I could not wait to buy another for my living room. Also is very good on energy. The only complaint is that the dark control panel makes it hard to see the settings so mainly I use the remote or the app.

I did not receive a incentive for my review 7 months agomatt78stI see LG claims that I did.. maybe because I mentioned the small rattling noise that started 2 months after I purchased it although it is small it is annoying after many attempts contacting LG even with the extended 3-year warranty I purchased we went round and around and around not only have I gotten any help I definitely have not gotten any incentive to buy another one from this company

The box did not include the screws or brackets needed to install the unit. A call to LG reported that those parts would be sent within 7-10 days which was not acceptable. We returned the unit and when the missing parts were received we also took them back to the store to complete the package.

I bought this in May of this yr and couldnt be happier with this product..it is extremely quiet and efficient We bought it to cool our family room which is about 20x12 but happily discovered that it cooled the other 2 rooms on this level as well because of a door and window cutout in the family room. Even with the intense heat weve had this summer we set the AC most of the time around 74 to 76 and were very comfortable Love it so much I convinced my sister to buy one for her cottage at the Cape.

I bought 2 of these for my second-floor bedrooms. I have been using them for two months now and they are incredibly quiet. At times I have to hold my hand to them to be sure they are actually running. Very well-made units
They are a little heavy and awkward to install......but well worth the effort

All units are very quiet and cool medium to large bedrooms two 8K BTU one 10K BTU. Love the remote ability to control from phone app and set program times Bought a Midea U-Shape design A/C. Design is great but quality is not. I had to return after install because it would trip circuit. Bought the 2nd LG 8K BTU same circuit no issues with tripping circuit. This should tell you which one is more energy efficient. My 2 large old 240V LG A/Cs are still going strong after 15 years will replace with LG again soon.

The Clean Filter light went on about three weeks after I started using my AC. I vaccumed the filter and put it back in but the light wont go away and theres no Reset button like my old AC had.

8000. Its pretty powerful and I feel that breeze across the other room. Definitely quiet as advertised. Slightly longer than most so strong and strategic support is highly recommended. Overall the installation was fairly simple and the design is pretty cool. Remote control and WiFi are working just fine. Good buy
