We bought our refrigerator from Costco and loved it at first. Within the first year the lights on the water dispenser went out. Just after two years the compressor went out. Weve now been without a kitchen refrigerator for almost a month during the Christmas holiday. Nobody has been able to help us get it repaired despite it still being under warranty. Weve even tried working with the Presidential Liaison which has been of no help whatsoever. Were almost at the point where well need to replace our $2000 refrigerator two years after purchasing it as nobody will repair LG appliances. Very disappointed in LG.

We purchased this refrigerator two years ago and the fan motor just went out. Its a $530.00 repair and even though a local repairman made it out less than 24hrs after we called we have to wait three weeks to have it fixed because LG doesnt even have the part right now. So were entirely without a refrigerator in our house over the holidays. A $1500 appliance should last well beyond two years without any need of repair let alone one that costs 1/3 the price of the entire thing. Would not recommend this refrigerator from LG and we will not be purchasing from this brand again.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from RC Willey about a year ago and unfortunately it has been a disappointing experience. From the very beginning the water dispensed from the fridge tasted like chemicals and this issue has persisted throughout the year. No matter what I try the water remains undrinkable. We didnt have any problems with our previous LG fridge but this new one has been a completely different story.
To address the problem I replaced the original LG water filter six times each costing around $50 hoping that this would resolve the taste issue. Additionally I replaced four water lines but nothing has worked. Despite spending hours contacting LG support my attempts to resolve the issue have been in vain. Not only did LG support misinterpret my concerns but they also failed to offer any real solution misrepresenting my issues in their reports. It was a frustrating experience to say the least and I am left with a fridge that still produces undrinkable water.
The refrigerator itself seems fine in terms of cooling and functionality but if you rely on the water dispenser or ice maker this could be a dealbreaker. If you are considering this model I would highly advise you to reconsider especially if you expect clean-tasting water from the fridge.

fridge works as it should its been 5 months or so since I purchased it and no problems yet.
the design of the doors could be better to allow a soft close hinge when theres lots of weight on the doors they will slam hard because the momentum. I think thats a major oversite on making a product positive to interact with.
the last and most important thing is DO NOT order directly from LG there carrier service was SO BAD I wanted to return the fridge and start from scratch. Upon them arriving I told them it would not fit with the FRIDGE DOORS on so they proceeded to try jam it through my house scratching the fridge. they then started taking the doors off my house to fit the fridge while expressing concern and telling them they should be taking the doors off the fridge not my house.
They got it into my house after brushing me off got the handles put on and left...... they just left it in the middle of my kitchen while I had paid them to install it and move the old fridge into the basement. I was furious and LG did literally the most bare minimum paying for the damage to the door and refunding me for them not moving and installing the fridge.
Im sure your local dealer will help you fine but I do dread the day where i have a problem with my fridge and have to try to call them again. there customer service was some of the worst id ever experience. it was like talking to robots and no one would help/ break script or get me someone that could actually hear my complaints and address them

BUT LGs customer service was amazing and a tech was sent to repair. The tech was courteous and helped fix what was a disheartening circumstance with Appliance Factory. Will always purchase LG products just never from Appliance Factory ever again.

Less than two years after purchase the cooling fan and related computer boards failed. Neither were covered under warranty. Cost us $500 to have repaired and lost an equal amount of food that was in the refrigerator and freezer.

The ABSOLUTE WORST I would give ZERO stars if I could. Had my refrigerator 14 months and is now broken. Its been 10 days and the problem is still not resolved. Customer service is terrible and will do NOTHING but talk in circles. Its very difficult to get an actual appointment because there is only 1 technician in my area which is a highly populated area. They came out to look days later and then had to order the parts and did not come until after the next appointment was scheduled. The can just keeps getting kicked down the road meanwhile Ive lost hundreds of dollars in food and cannot have cold milk or fresh food for my toddler. Absolutely ridiculous and will never be an LG customer again. It feels like there is an internal timer to break right after the warranty period just so people have to pay $$$$ to repair or get a new one. Someone will try to reply to reach out and sounds hopeful to resolve the issue but its fake and they wont do anything except look into the issue. This gets nothing accomplished and only causes more frustration. Do right by your customers LG this is not acceptable.

So far it is a 5/5. Had to buy when previous fridge stopped working while on vacation. Also was restricted in size due to space it needed to fit. Reviews were good also and like the water on outside of door vs. inside like previous as it made a mess inside. Love the open door alarm and rapid icemaking setting. Size is great and even larger than previous due to efficient space design.

Its almost a month since great delivery and setup. It took a few days of adjustments to get the cold food cabinet adjusted to the appropriate temperature its working great. The top cold cabinet is spacious and layed out well door storage is more than adequate for our use. Freezer is big enough for a couple 20lb turkeys and a whole lot more. The ice maker works fine its summer right now and usage is high havent run low yet. The ice shape is like an old school ice tray unique. The water on the door feature is better than expected the pressure is good it doesnt take long to fill a glass. It is quieter than anticipated via other reviews. The door finish is really good easy clean and no fingerprints

My freezer stopped freezing after 9 months of use. I called LG to set up a warranty claim. Once a company was assigned to my claim after 5 days of waiting And having to call back for an update. I received a text stating that a warranty company has received my claim and they are having my parts shipped to my home. I was sent another text advising me to text them back when my parts arrive and theyll schedule a repair. This was 10 days ago. I called for an update and was told they do not know when my part will arrive. I asked how do you even know what parts I need since nobody has come to look at it yet? They said its a compressor and to text them when it arrives. So I have an appliance that I am still paying for sitting here waiting on a repair and I have no idea when to expect it to be working. I am so disappointed in this process the timeliness of it and the competency of the product itself.

We bought the LG refrigerator a little over two years ago. Using our AmEx card we received a 2 year warranty. About 2 months after the warranty expired the circulating fan started making a loud noise. We couldnt find a service provider who would work on LG so called customer service. We were told it was probably ice or frost buildup and we would have to do a hard defrost. Shutting the refrigerator down for 24 hours so it could defrost. After moving all the food into coolers we did this. No luck even though we were beyond the warranty LG provided a courtesy repair order the fan was replaced. It was a bad bearing in the fan. Hoping this repair will last.

Have had this refrigerator for 2 years. It quit working 3 weeks ago and we still do not have a resolution. We bought an extended warranty but since its still covered under manufacturers warranty we have to call LG to fix it. We have went back and forth with their customer service. Schedule dates for a repair technician to come out and no one has shown up. We call and all they can say is the request was canceled with no reasoning as to why. Going this week to buy a new refrigerator that is not LG because the quality of their products is garbage and so is their customer service.

Dont believe whatever delivery date is on the order. You can add at least a week or 2 extra to that if not more. I previously had an LG refrigerator which broke down and I tried to get them to fix it even though it was out of warranty. The repair company they referred me to never returned my calls. So I was forced to buy a new appliance through LG because they gave me a 15 discount as a consolation for not being able to get me a repair from a local company and their delivery date was the soonest from other retailers. Ive been without refrigeration for almost 3 weeks now and the delivery is delayed. My family cant have safe food or medicine insulin because of this. When I called customer service they gave me the run around. The first agent I talked to pretended he was looking into it put me on hold then hung up on me. The second agent transferred me and the third agent who was the kindest said they would call me back but didnt have an answer for me. I even got a confirmation email re-stating the delivery date and that was wrong too. LG needs to do better. Dont state that youre going to deliver an appliance on a certain date when thats not accurate

Were mostly happy with this product. The interior lighting is somewhat dim. Its hard to see items in the back or underneath when food is on the shelves. Love the slim water source with the ice maker in the freezer. Lots of food storage now. However in order to open the fruit deli drawers both French doors have to be open.

My first LG refrigerator I had repaired five times before I finally had to get a new one. Ive had my new one for eight months and three parts already went and lost a ton of more food. This also caused a stench of mold that was unbearable for me to be in the house. After 2 weeks they finally fixed the fridge but refuse to do anything for the smell so I had to get a whole new refrigerator again. I was lied to constantly every day by supposed supervisors for their customer service. Every time a person said they were going to do something for me the next day another person would check only to see that they never did anything they said they were going to do. The amount of food I lost plus buying ice every day plus coolers plus having to buy another refrigerator after I only having this one for 8 months..smh. some of the worst displays of customer service Ive ever seen. I would never recommend this product to anybody and I would never do business with them again.

We purchased the refrigerator in early 2022 and it died a few months beyond the warranty period. A local appliance repair company has been unable to fix it. Im not sure what else to say. The fridge was great for the two years it worked.

I bought this refrigerator in February of 2023 in April of 2024 it started making very loud noises. I called customer service they had me troubleshoot a couple things and ultimately told me everything seemed fine. I still requested a service representative come take a look as I knew there was something wrong with it this was scheduled 2 days out. The next day I opened the refrigerator and it was 65 degrees. I called the service tech who was very nice and helpful- he said it was the fan that blew the air from the freezer to the refrigerator and overnighted the part to my house which worked out bc he was scheduled to look at the refrigerator anyways. Here is the issue- a 13/14 month old refrigerator dies overnight. Medications and $500 worth of food was discarded. I called Lg the next day which was the morning it stopped working they told me it was covered under warranty which made sense since it was so new I never received a bill or signed anything for an amount. A few weeks later I receive a call from collections How does it got to collections after a few weeks? So we call LG after close to 2 hours on the phone multiple reference numbers and a case number they agreed that we were in fact told it was under warranty. Im still receiving calls from collections. LG is near impossible to speak with someone who will get this taken care of. I do not trust this frodge will last long since it broke just over a year. How do you charge someone over $400 for a nearly new fridge after they also discarded hundreds of dollars worth food? I will absolutely never purchase anything from LG again

I bought this brand new about 2 years ago... the fan went out and was broken. I had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food out and you sent a repair man out that cost $500 to fix and replace the fan. A $2000 appliance should be able to last more than 2 years before braking.

We purchased our LG refrigerator in July of 2023 and it stopped working on may 10th. The fan assembly had to be replaced and the ice maker was replaced due to a recall. It as still under the manufacture warranty. Fortunately we have a refrigerator in the garage to keep everything good. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

The reason for 4-stars? The light on the water dispenser works...sometimes. We bought in April 2022. March of 2023 the light quit working. We had a tech come take a look since it is an LED and not end user serviceable and repair under warranty. Now another year into ownership and the light works occasionally. Only other gripe is the ice maker. There should be a dead man switch on it so that when the freezer drawer is open it wont dump ice. Other than these problems the fridge is GREAT

I bought this refrigerator 2 years ago. 2 weeks ago after getting home from work I noticed some letters on screen that I had never seen before FF E. After several calls and finally getting to the right place I got instructions on what to do to clear the letters. Air was not circulating to the fridge but Freezer was cool not cold. After disconnecting for 24 hours I called again and was told I needed to get a technician to my house.
I was scheduled for a week later and they ordered parts to my house. The technician arrived and took not even 30 minutes to fix and replace 2 parts. I love my refrigerator especially after not having it for a whole week.

This refrigerator has never been at the right temperature. LG sent a tech when it was new and he said that new refrigerators arent as cold as the old ones. He said we had to live with it.
It was set as 38 degrees and it was running at 7 to 9 degrees higher.
We recently complained because food is spoiling. We set it at 33 degrees the lowest setting. It never got below 42 degrees. After a repair it went down to 40 to 42.
We are very unhappy with this refrigerator. The slim style water dispenser is great. The temperature is not satisfactory.
