I purchased this dryer on 4/27 a couple of days after delivery it started displaying error d80. Keep in mind i moved to a brand new house. I had the builder check the dryer exhaust as a requirement by LG Customer service. The exhaust was unobstructed and free of blockages. LG sent a technician who did not use any diagnostic tools to troubleshot the dryer. The LG Tech upon arrival and without properly diagnosing the dryer sensors that the problem was the exhaust ad his solution was to ask the builder of the home to installed a different dryer exhaust.
I Purchased a Premium care for the washer and dryer and I feel that LG has utter disregard for customer satisfaction and will find the ways to ignore and avoid repairs or part replacement to fix this issues with this expensive dryer. I regret purchasing an LG product.

Bought this dryer after having my older LG for many years while I like the way that it dries had an issue within a couple of months where I was brushing off some lint off the front of the panel with my finger and the lettering came off. Apparently it isnt covered as a defect even though its only a couple of months old so Im a little concerned as it should never have happened. Also reached out three times to Support to talk about it was giving a different answer or response. Each time was supposed to have either a new panel sent to me or a follow up in a day or two but instead nothing got sent. Nobody talk to me and the follow up never happened instead they just canceled the case.

Im very disappointed with the quality of my LG dryer especially the lint filter and screen. Within just a couple of years of normal use the lint filter became damaged and the screen started tearing and warping. This is unacceptable for a major appliance.
Because of this defect lint is no longer properly trapped and it has started affecting my laundry. Several of my clothes have been damagedsome fabrics have snagged worn out faster or even developed small tears. This has been extremely frustrating and costly.
Ive taken proper care of the dryer including cleaning the lint filter after every load so this is clearly a durability issue and not misuse. A component as critical as the lint filter should last much longer and should not put clothing at risk.
I expected better quality and reliability from LG. I strongly recommend improving the durability of the lint filter design and addressing this issue for customers who have experienced similar problems.

LG provides free installation. Their installers came and forced the washing machine into place bending the back of the unit. Bending the supply line breaking the drain line which caused it to leak and damage my ceiling since it is on the 2nd floor. I keep being told I will get a call back for help. It has been 5 days no one is calling to help me. We have no washing machine and now a wrecked wall ceiling and washing machine. DO NOT BUY. LG does not care about the customer. The customer service is terrible.

A product is only as good as the customer service. I have never been more disappointed with a company than LG at this point. My product has not been delivered after nearly a week of delay. No one at LG can tell me anything about when it may get delivered. I have called e-mailed chatted. They have no clue. When I call support they refuse to let me speak to a supervisor. They say it is in the warehouse. I email their support and no one replies. The deliver company is quick to respond saying LG has not yet transferred the product.

Weve only had this for 5 days but already love it Done 9 loads so far. Why I know is the ThiqQ app keeps a count and notifies you when it reaches 30 cycles so you can run a Tub Clean cycle. Also shows how much electricity has been used. I have it set up to notify my wife and I on our phones when the cycle completes and Alexa announces it on our Echo devices. As you can probably tell I love the smart features

the dryer will not dry properly have spending hours on the line with LG and sending serval photos working with a supervisor they admitted it was installed wrong but because its past 30 days they cant send an installer out to fix it so I have to find a third party to repair it horrible do not buy

We bought this dryer when our old one died because it was the largest capacity one I could find. The size and the fact that it dries are pretty much the best things about it. There are several frustrations though that keep me from recommending it.
- Even when set to max dry it often doesnt get my clothes dried all the way. I have to follow up with a timed cycle.
- The options for the pre-programmed and downloadable cycles are pointlessly limited. Sometimes you can change the temp sometimes not sometimes you can change the dry level sometimes not etc. This would be OK except...
- There is no way to create and save your own cycle. I usually dry my clothes on medium low heat max dry level wrinkle care on. There is no way for me to preset this. Even my old dumb dryer would keep the previous settings until I changed them. It seems like a small thing but a dryer with this much tech built in should at least let me keep my settings.
- Theres no drying rack to air dry without tumbling. Small thing but it is good to have and should be included with a dryer at this price.
I cant recommend this dryer. Unless you really need the size and cant find anything else I would keep looking.

Pros: They look nice. They clean/dry well and are quiet.
Cons: Drum light only comes on when you hit the power button not when opening the doors. Light button only works during a load. Front panel wording is off-white not backlit hard to see. Dial starts off on Normal but cant choose options you have to turn it again to Normal if using that setting to be able to adjust water temp spin etc. Settings dont save you have to adjust for every load even if you same loads back to back. I WOULD NOT BUY THESE AGAIN

The dryer operationally is very good. I like the total stainless steel tub large capacity multiple drying cycles and ease of use. However we needed to reverse the dryer door the repairmen could not get it done broken and stripped screws and ended up having replacement screws sent to us and my husband having to reverse the door.

Generally ok but disappointing that it doesnt store laundry detergent even though it has EZ Dispense. LG has too many models and terrible explanation of their real features. And their support is terrible. Also the 1st one came broken and now this one is leaking maybe an install problem. Took them 10 days to schedule a time to come.

I am disappointed with the dryer. While it does an excellent job drying there are several factors that bother me. Several things explained in the manual do not happen as advertised. Also the finish seems to be easily scratched. The installation was also done very poorly resulting in a second wasted day waiting for another crew to come out to fix the original installation problems.

Weve had this ThinQ 9 cu ft dryer for 3 weeks it is stacked on and synced with an LG 5.2 ThinQ Washer . The Dryer is quite for its size and with all the room inside it drys very well as the clothes have air space instead of being over stuffed from a large load . Lots of drying choices plus Extra options when you sync your phone with the ThinQ app and it sends notifications when its done plus you can see how much time is left on the app. It also has a very good light inside and pleasant tone when it is done.

One small inconvenience though I thought for Steam drying I could just pour water into an internal tank in the Dryer and not have to plumb in an external water line.
