The new model washer is deeper than pedestal so it doesn't fit. The new model washer and dryer doesn't have the connection so can't attach them. Maytag needs to make pedestals that fit new models!

We have had our new Maytag washer and dryer, on these two pedestals for the last month. I'm glad we bought them, as standing on your head to move clothes from washer and dryer with no pedestals would not be fun, as I am over 6'4" tall.
My wife, who is not quite a foot shorter than me loves them too, and said she thinks they are the perfect height for her, as she can see right in both machines and can see the displays no problem.
While they were expensive to purchase, we knew we wanted them, as our old washer/dryer set had them, and by trying out the washer/dryer set at Home Depot while sitting on the floor, we realized just how much we were going to miss our old pedestals. So we bought these two new ones and are so glad we did!
The drawers hold a lot of things and a lot of weight.

We bought the pedestal to raise up washer and got the bonus of a great storage compartment. The only problem we have had is that there is a plastic glide in the bottom support that folded over and caught on the drawer. Tried to buy part to fix it and they don't even show it in any of the diagrams for parts. Hard to believe that a $5 part to fix a simple problem isn't available.

this is a really big machine- I didn't realize just how deep it was until my first load and trying to get out that last sock! I have a couple issues; first I have a pair of black jeans and no matter how I add the soap, I get lines on my pants. Second- the machine must be well balanced or your laundry will go off center and you will need to rearrange it. Third- I had really old Maytag machines before and they did not have anything fancy- hot, medium, cold- regular or permanent press. My old machine seemed to take less time.

Bought brand new Maytag washer and these pedestals.Dryer fits, front to back, but washer is 2" deeper and so hangs over the back of the pedestal by 2".Seems to work and I cannot find another Maytag pedestal with deeper dimension so I guess I will keep and hope it does not cause any imbalance in washer action.

We had to replace a Maytag 3000 series washer. I was hoping the old pedestal would work on the new one but it didn't fit the new one. I ordered this one and when I received it, it has almost the same dimensions as the old one. When this one is mounted, it does not fit perfectly like the old washer. The old brand was flush in the back. The back of the new washer has a two inch overhang over the pedestal. The front however does match up with the front of the washer. I thought I would have to return it because it was two inches shorter in depth but it does work.
