Love the look and function of the hood. How ever while manufacturing the protective film was cut off to install the two lights. A knife was used to cut the film and left scratches on the metal. Spending this kind of money I would think better care would have been taken to protect the finish.

The hood was easy to install whether you vented in or out of your kitchen. It is a very nice clean look when everything is finished. It™™s a great match with the rest of our GE appliances.

Hood fan is very noisy. It is also mounted so high that it doesn't do a good job of pulling out smoke from the stove. Even though it has several light settings, the light is not very bright. Also, the top of the hood shows dust easily. The fan came with our new home. It may look good but wouldn't be my choice in the future.

Unable to get service or repair for light failure due to possible power system failure. System has high noise level. System less than 2 years old and lighting has failed tried replacing lights and still will not work

Based on the model number, I ordered additional ducting parts for my initial installation but it kept coming in wrong. After multiple attempts, GE repair was sent out. Turns out the labeling on my hood was wrong right from manufacturing and was why the additional duct work I needed wasn't fitting properly. The vent model I ordered/ purchased was not what was sent. Repair eventually was able to obtain the correct ducting that I needed for the vent hood that was sent to me. After months I had a fully functioning vent hood, when the lights stopped working 4 weeks later. GE repair returned and after further evaluation the vent hood was deemed not repairable. After a lot of emailing, I was finally sent a replacement because it was still under warrantee, Now GE is refusing to cover the cost of its installation because it was a custom install ( due to the additional duct work I needed).....so it sits in my garage. 13 months since my initial purchase and I've had a fully functional vent hood a total of 4 weeks. From the get go I received a lemon yet GE customer service thinks I the customer, should pay for the replacement installation. Terrible customer service policy. My fight with them continues.
