I used the GE adapter and it made installation really easy. My only complaint was the protective film over the stainless steel was difficult to remove (still on there in places). The actual vent fan was easy to install and is a big upgrade for me. I love it.

I love how much air this hood moves. Even when painting my kitchen, I turned this on high speed and the odors were removed quickly. I didn't think I would use the remote control, but I'm surprised how often I reach for it. You do have to be fairly close to use the remote control, I can't use it across the room unfortunately. Overall this vent hood is worth the price, it was fairly easy to install in the range hood cover we made. The washable filters were a selling point for us, as well.

We are very happy with this product!!! The fan works like no other we have had. We love that the light has 2 brightness levels. We were pleasantly suprised that this blower came with a remote. I am short, so this is a bonus. It's very high tech looking as well.

I really like the clean look of this vent not too loud on low. However, I made the mistake of putting the filters in the dishwasher. They came out with a worn and rusty look, so I am re-ordering two more. Now I know these filters are not dish wash worthy. Outside of that. Great Hood!

We mostly love the vent hood. It's got good power and the remote works really well. We were hoping to use it's smart connect features but it is either missing the label with the codes to connect or they were stuck on somewhere that would require us to disassemble the vent hood to find it.
The filter screens do rattle even on low, which is only a mild annoyance since our eating area is open to the kitchen and if we need to run the vent due to smokey or steamy cooking it will let you know it's still there and rattling.

I just installed this range hood. I'm pleased with how quiet it is. Good installation instructions. Overall pleased with the unit. I liked the flexibility of using a 6" duct. The light is very bright on high, bright on low. It would be nice to have a slightly dimmer option.

I discovered this product in an appliance dealer showroom, and was pleasantly surprised with the compact size for the cfm rating of 390. That rating keeps it low enough so that makeup air is not required by the IRC code, yet will still move a large amount of air. It's very quite at the lower settings. The high and max settings get a little loud, even with the recommended 8" duct, but when you move that much air, that's to be expected.

We replaced our 15 year old hood. The GE does not have WiFi and that is a disappointment. The lowest fan sped setting makes the baffles rattle. Must go to setting 2 to stop it. The fan is extremely loud, much noisier than our old one. The positive is the very bright LED lights. We have a GE cafe oven and love it. This product is deficient. In retrospect, I wish that I selected another brand.

GE likely won't post my review, but here goes... If you live outside California, this is likely a good product. If you live in California, the inspector will not allow the installation because the fan is not in the HVI database (per California Title 24). I had to pull out the fan at a cost to me because of incorrect information in the spec sheet.
