Multiple recurrent problems with the control panel, from day 1 of installation. "Fixes" from service tech but nothing that lasts longer than 2 months. Tech stated shoddy contact panel and had to repair with something more solid for touch panel to work. No love from GE, just transferred to phone #s where no one picks up

Ordered in July 2021 with 5 other kitchen appliances. All arrived in December 2021, except for this under cabinet vent, which arrived April of 2022. Upon installation, fan made loud, rattling noise. Called GE Service, and technician ordered new blower fan/motor assembly. Om May 2 replaced defective blower fan- motor was fine. Appears to be operating, but will never use "High" speed- much too loud.

Very pleased with this range hood. I installed it myself with little trouble and it matches my new GE Cafe Range - my only complaint is the design for the control settings. It could be a little nicer and easier to see for those of us with over 40 eyes- this range hood has very nice lights and I like the double screens for under the hood. Unlike the range, this hood doesn't have WiFi, zigbee or zwave capabilities and really should be a standard feature on all appliances these days- and would add utility for remote operation of the fan and lights and included in the programming features of the matching range; hence, the reason for the Four Stars. Maybe it does connect to a hub… but I've not been able to figure it out yet.

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of this GE PVX7300SJSS over the range hood! Installation was very simple, the touchscreen panel is very user friendly and has great features including Chef Connect! It operates very quietly in low setting as well as the medium and high setting! I love the boost setting too! I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this model when searching for a higher quality range hood at this price point.

The stainless steel GE Profile Range hood has a nice clean look. The materials have a solid build quality feel. The controls and design are all functional and work nicely. I do wish that the power cord would have been included in the package for the price, but otherwise I have no complaints so far.

Had to have two units installed. First worked but made a noise like parts were hitting as fan rotated. Not the GE where quality was a given not something requiring support right out of the box. Requiring a second unit put project completion back a full week. Limited purchase reasons - Should allow a written input.

Didn't quite match the same rectangular exhaust vent opening from pervious Profile hood . . . had to do some, minor wall cutting - wallboard & metal. Two lights on previous 2005 profile hood were closer together and provided more concentrated light on the Profile range below. High speed seems to have a subdued "growl" noise. Prefer to not have convertable option as there is slight air coming from the top vent of range hood, even though duct work sealed well.

Had this installed today with horizontal duct to the outside. Looks great! Fan moves a LOT of air on max setting, which is loud, but that's expected. One low it still moves good air and is quieter.
The included brackets meant to allow one to slide the hood onto a mount didn't work for our installer. He mounted it right to our cabinet just fine though.
LED lights look good and are bright enough. they do favor the front of the range though; would be nice if the rear burner area got more light. I also like that you can dim them.

This hood has the option to vent it out the back, which we did. That resulted in the cabinet above the hood being totally open for storage use, unlike those hoods which vent vertically and spoil the storage area. The power of the fan is variable and the top speed is very strong. Be aware that the corners of the hood are sharp. It is quite easy to injure yourself when you lean in over the stove. Furniture stick-on corner pads fixed that.
