In addition to its wonderful cooking features, this GE Profile double wall oven with Advantium technology (PT9800SH9SS) is easy to operate! The laminated QuickStart Cooking Guide that is provided is also very helpful. The Advantium reheats, and cooks many foods in its preprogrammed options. It cooked a frozen pizza well, and even toasts bread - so I got rid of my old toaster oven! The wall oven combination looks great in my kitchen and matches my GE Profile french door refrigerator. Although I've only had it for about a week, I look forward to many more years of satisfying use of my Advantium/ Convection combination wall oven!

I have had this less than a year. When we first installed it took 6 weeks to get the parts to fix it. We have now been without the oven for 3 weeks and not even a response from the serviceman. I just want them to replace the unit. My warranty expires in less than a month and it hasn't worked for 2 of the last 11 month. Not right!

Great, the stove operating choices are small and not are very difficult to read. In dim light it is impossible. Backlighting when you touch the control console would be a fantastic feature.

I absolutely LOVE my new double wall oven- it has so many options for cooking and baking and love that the top oven is also a microwave so no additional appliances. The one option it's missing is the option to turn off turn table. I wanted to microwave a large platter and couldn't because the turntable kept trying to spin it and it had hit the door a few times . I would recommend that option for the microwave feature

Been waiting for our new GE Profile PT9800SHSS for a while. We replaced a 16 year old GE Profile UJT965SF4SS combo wall oven with the new Combo with convection & Advantium technology. Too new to have many valid comments. Last night I made 2 huge baked potatoes in the microwave. To my surprise they were cooked completely throught. No hard, uncooked spots and they were HUGE potatoes! I've also ran several meats through the defrost and they were great, not cooked, just defrosted. On the lower oven, I've cooked several frozen prepared entrees. Both turned out great.
I find the ovens to be intuitive and accurate. It is a beautiful appliance. Like the other reviewers, I find the kitchen timer signal to be quite faint as it can't be heard outside of the kitchen.

I decided to upgrade when I bought this. Wasn't sure it was going to be worth it but now having had it for a number of weeks I am happy with the purchase. I don't have the 240 model, didn't know it was an option so I don't see the really large time savings but I would say on many items it cuts time in about half. That was not the bigger reason I bought it. I have baked bread, muffins, cooled meats, fish and a number of other things. There is a learning curve in getting it's full potential and I'm working on that. I was impressed with a couple of salmon fillets I cooked. I'm picky about fish being overcooked. I have lived on the water most my life and love fish but rarely order it in restaurants because of how it's cooked. Figured I would try the speed cook option for salmon, pressed start and didn't touch it. Maybe beginners luck but it came out perfect, juicy all the way through. Can't speak to reliability yet and still getting used to it but really like it. The proofing capability was also great. We found we can do everything in it we used a large toaster oven for which cleared up much needed counter space. Be aware of the learning curve but if I was moving I would buy one for my next house. Have not found any cons yet unless the changing of base plates for oven or microwave use is a con for you.

The speedcook function is a very good feature. We eat fish very often and have found that using speedcook produces excellent results. The controls take some time to develop familiarity, but all work fine. Looking forward to many years of quality cooking with this oven. I do wish the top oven door opened to the side to make it easier to reach items inside.

We installed this appliance in July 2019. Overall we were fairly satisfied, cook quality was good. Aesthetically it provided a pleasing addition to the kitchen.
Unfortunately, we awakened to an issue where the display and microwave were no longer responsive. After calling GE and being told that it would take 3 to 4 weeks for a repair (nice to not be able to cook for 4 weeks on a $4000 appliance) we contacted another service company.
The diagnoses was the halogen light feature had failed causing a short within the entire system. It appeared that either their was an assembly issue that caused the light to short out on the metal of the unit. I don't believe it should be the responsibility of the buyer vs. the OEM for poor quality in design.
I would encourage those that are considering this solution to look at other options. I just recently purchased another GE product (prior to this issue) and do believe they are typically above and beyond other appliance companies. While I am very disappointed in the reliability of this solution I am writing to only provide a word of caution on this technology.
