Purchased this cooktop as a replacement as this would fit into existing space. Digital controls are easy to use. Cooking elements are quite responsive when changing cooking temps. Cooktop also looks great. Only downside is the 9" max diameter burner in rear. Would have preferred a 6/9/12 inch burner in front. That aside happy with this cooktop.

After 13 years it was finally time to replace our old GE Profile Cooktop. We new GE makes great products and we never had any problems with our old cooktop other than cosmetics of being used over the last decade plus. We decided to get another GE Profile and we "Love It"! The touch controls are easy to use and the quick boil feature works great. My wife loves the fact that you can sync the two burners on the left so she can make homemade pancakes with a large griddle. Our previous model only had four burners but the 5th burner is handy for those large family gatherings. We've had this unit for about 2 months and we've used it at least 70 times already between breakfast and dinner with no issues. if you're looking for a great product then look no further, this is a great unit and we're planning to get another 13 years of use out of it.

My husband and I love cooking on this cooktop. It cleans up so nicely. The touch control panel make it easy to clean when using the "lock controls" function. The controls are responsive without being overly sensitive. It heats up fast. I love the double burner/keep warm option. And overall there is plenty of space for all my pots, skillets, etc.

Buying a glass cooktop was a big mistake. It is much less useful than my old cooktop with normal (exposed) burners. It looks great when it is clean and not in use, but that is its only positive. You can't take a pan out of the oven a sit it on the cooktop or take a pan off of a hot burner and put it on another burner for fear that the hot pan will crack the glass. As a result, except in the rare instance where you are cooking on all 5 burners, the burners you are not using are just wasted space on the counter. The glass surface is so slippery that when you stir fry, you have to hold the pan handle to keep it from spinning when you stir. The new cooktop heats up more slowly and doesn't seem to get as hot as my old cooktop. Finally, the digital touch burner controls are much less user friendly than a plain old dial that you just turn to the temp you want. And when you try to clean the cooktop (with special cleaning fluid), you keep accidentally turning the burners on as you scrub,

This is a great cooktop. Easy to clean and powerful. The rapid boil feature is great, the reduced time is noticeable when boiling water. The only drawback to having a glass cooktop is that you need to be careful of scratching the surface.

Overall, very happy with this cooktop. I like the double ring burner choices, and the big quick pot boiler burner in the middle. The burners heat up pretty quickly. I took one star off because it seems to be harder to wipe dirt off of (either shortly after cooking or later with a cream glass cooktop cleaner) than my old one. I will try another brand of cleaner and see if that makes a difference.

We installed this cooktop on a Saturday, by Wednesday it was giving and error code (after only using 3 nights) and wouldn't turn on. The technician came the next Saturday (one week after installing). He told us there was something wrong with the computer inside, something with the touch screen mechanism... then it took him over a week to come back and fix it (soonest appt). So I would say I have not been very impressed, how does a new stove top break in 4 days?? When it works it is great. I really like it. But since I have bought it I have had more nights where it isn't working. Hopefully it was just a fluke... but for the price I was not pleased.

I love not have knobs on my cook top. I have move space to cook. It is easy to clean and use. It does take a little to heat up but when it does look out. I bought to replace another GE Profile that is out dated and not being made. It feels good having modern dependable appliance.

Within just a couple of weeks, the top was scratched and it is really hard to get clean and keep clean. I use the appropriate cleaner and pots and pans. I am really disappointed because I was excited to get a new one. The biggest burner is also much smaller than I need-that is on me for not measuring properly, but a couple of my skillets have a larger bottom.

Have had the cooktop 14 months, and the glass cooktop broke. A large corner piece completely broke off. It looks like this is a common problem with this style. My previous glass cooktop lasted 20 years without any cracks or other problems.

I am in love with my cooktop. It truly is a smooth surface - no knobs! I went with controls integrated in the cooktop. I love this feature. It took 3 weeks to receive our stovetop after ordering it from a local hardware store. We finally got to use our stovetop 2 weeks after it arrived. It came with no directions (everything is "on-line") and no installation kit. I contacted GE, gave them my model and serial numbers. 6 days letter we received a replacement kit which only included the brackets. I called again and got a "what do you what me to do about it". Needless to say, we went to the hardware store to find something close to the insulation foam.

I have been getting adjusted to new stove top. My old one only had 4 burners, my new one has 5. Burners heat up pots really quickly and cook so nicely. Didn't think I would like the front controls but I have gotten accustomed to them and love the lock button. Over all I am very happy with the stove top.

I love that this stove top has 5 burners and that each burner has multiple sizes of the heating surface. There is also a option for a griddle set of burner that will sync up in order to provide a steady heat across the burners. Plus there is a built in timer that you can set for timing what you are cooking. This definitely has everything a cook would love in a stove top!!
