Beatiful peace, but cracked the burner after getting hot on the first use, 2 burners. Warranty covered the issue, but took 2 months to get the parts and come and replace. Now the bigger burner just don`t want to work. I am placing another repair request, but at this point I am afraid that I can`t trust it

I like the stove overall. The controls are easy to use, and the induction elements all work great. My only complaint so far is that it is difficult to clean. Even using cleaners made for glass cooktops leaves streaks and smudges, and we have two scratches in it already, after a week, and we have been very careful with it, not scraping pans across the surface, not setting utensils on it, only using gentle cleaners and cloths to clean, but still it has scratched. Also, God help you if you need to contact customer service, because GE customer support is atrocious. I have had to contact them about an oven that was also just installed and they are horribly unresponsive and discourteous.

setting.

My previous induction range was 30", and devoted lots of precious real estate to the controls. This one is laid out with cooking space in mind. No problem organizing multiple pots and pans. Powerful too. Love it!

We upgraded from electric to induction and love the speed and control of temperature! Definitely worth the premium! We got the delivery bout 3 months ago so long term performance tbd but loving so far. Only complaints are: 1) tough to see the controls so lighting or better contrast would be nicer (2) realize now the SS top/bottom edge detracts from the sleekness of a ceramic top, (3) for whatever reason I feel this one is tougher to keep looking clean vs prior GE Profile electric cooktop we had.

What a wonderful product until it stops working. My husband and I were so excited about building our new custom home to welcome induction cooking into the kitchen. We have had the cooktop for 3 years and it just stop functioning. This cooktop can only be described as tempormental. We have maintained the top using only the manufacturer's recommended products, so we are very disappointed. We love the rest of our GE appliances and hate to write such a poor review.

The elements are well placed and conveniently sized. I haven't had ocaison to use the "sync burners" yet, but look forward to giving them a go. The controls react to a soft touch, but can be hard to see in low lighting. Not a complaint as much as advice: be careful using the highest power setting, this sucker is fast! It takes less than 2 minutes to bring ≈ 2L of water to a boil from room temperature. Keep a close eye on things until you have adjusted the power to your needs. I have All-Clad d5 cookware which works great with the induction elements, as do my older cast iron pans. The cooktop looks really nice too!

Having to use electric have only used a gas cooktop. I disliked my electric cooktop and decided to upgrade to induction and do not regret it. I was hesitant but after using it a few times love it. Heats up quickly, boils water super quick, and when you adjust the heat it adjusts instantly. The only con is you need to have magnetic cookware.

It worked great at the start. After a while, the two right burners started turning themselves off. I called customer support, they told me to reset the circuit breaker, and it fixed it. The right burners kept doing this, and I kept resetting the breaker, but eventually the burners stopped working completely (they just immediately turn off), and the center power burner stopped working as well. I waited for 3 months for parts to get it repaired, and they finally fixed it 2 days ago. They replaced both generator boards and the glass top. It worked great yesterday. This morning, however, the two right burners and center one wouldn't turn on again. The left burners have always worked, no problems. It's crazy to spend this much on a cooktop just to have it repeatedly fail. Every time something fails, it's another HOUR+ on hold time to wait to talk to someone. As I write this, I've been waiting for someone at GE to answer for over an hour....

I had this installed for about two weeks now, and so far so good. Going from an electric stove to induction, it makes such a difference. It takes very little time to get the pot and pan hot, and adjusting the heat level does make the heat level change in a second or two. The stove looks very nice, and I like the sizes of heat elements as well as the placements.

This cooktop is fabulous. It spoils you for how fast it boils water! It is very adjustable and actually performs better than a gas burner for sensitivity, as the changes in heat are almost instantaneous. This is our second one!

We wanted a cooktop that would provide the higher heat and quick recovery necessary to cook Chinese food. We considered a gas cooktop, but decided that induction would better meet our needs and be easier to clean. The GE induction cooktop has met all our expectations! We like the lock feature which prevents accidental turning on a burner; it's a great safety feature and is especially useful when cleaning the cooktop glass. Cookware comes up to desired temperature very fast and changes register quickly.

We replaced a 36" Cafe model with this unit. It has all the magical qualities of induction cooking. The things I like less about it than the Cafe model include the black background on the glass. This makes it harder to see the controls and burner locations. The markings are dark gray on the black background and if there is any glare you cannot see those markings at all. The Cafe had a light gray background and dark gray or black markings.

I have cooked on induction before but never owned one. I have to say I wish I had been cooking on induction sooner. It heats up super quickly, medium size pot of water in under 2 minutes. It maintains a consistent heat throughout the whole cooking process. Very satisfied with this purchase.
