While it is perfectly working, I'm having trouble understanding why they would design the knobs with a plastic coating. Mine have melted, and look terrible. Very poor construction of the knobs for such an expensive cook top,other then that it is awesome. But don't put your hot pans anywhere near the knobs, they will melt.

I have always purchase GE Appliances. Love my new 5 burner cook top, I have been saving for 8 years to get all my new GE Appliances, I have been baking up a storm with the new GE Oven, It is amazing, Love the Air Fry setting. The racks glide in and out so easy, Digital read out is easy to see. My GE Hood is so quite compared to my old hood and I love how you can dim the lights. My GE 5 Burner Cook Top the knobs are back light when on which is great!

I love the fact that it has 5 burners of different sizes and a griddle. It cooks well and looks terrific. My only complaint is how very easy it scratches. I use the recommended cleaner & a soft microfiber cloth but the scratches are from the heavy burner grates. I try to be very careful but it is scratched and that upsets me.

This stovetop is AAAHHHMAZING!! Love the burners, the power boil is a sight to behold, and also love the fact it came with a stovetop griddle. Pancakes anyone, no ok how about grill cheeses then! Lol…just be careful of the knobs bcuz they scuff pretty easily. They should've been made of stainless steel instead of coated plastic.

The cooktop works great and I like the gas cut-off light. Installation was easy and fit our prior Amana cooktop cutout. The stainless steel finish looks nice on the first impression, but I appreciate as others have described, that you must clean the surface cautiously else the surface can be scuffed. On a higher-end cooktop, why be cheap on the stainless steel? This is an unnecessary cost-cutting decision and I wish they chose a higher grade stainless.

Although our new cooktop took a really long time to get to us, it was worth the wait. We love the appearance and spaciousness of the burner layout. Our other cooktop had "dead space" in the center, but the Power Boil burner in the center, makes the most out of every square in. The location of the knobs is great and the fact that the knobs are illuminated when lit is nice as well.

This cooktop functions beautifully, but the grates scratch the cooktop very easily! We've redone two kitchens using all GE Profile appliances, and I'm usually very happy with how they hold up. After less than 6 months of use, the cooktop looks very beat-up. There are scratches around the edges and around the knobs. If the grates shift slightly, they create additional scratches.

The knobs on this cooktop are a fatal flaw. They are plastic. the finish peels back or melts and warps. they are quickly unsightly. I am disappointed with GE and its response to the issue of the low quality knobs.
