I really like the features of this fridge. I wasn't sure how well I would like the door in door feature, but I ended up really liking it for quick grab items like butter and milk. I feel like there could be more storage in the door in door and another shelf would have been nice. The really like the autofill feature for the water in the door. It is a spacious and the layout is nice. However, the compressor died after a month and ultimately had to have it replaced.

Our old refrigerator went out 5 days before Thanksgiving. We've had this refrigerator about 30 days, its our 1st French door. Its about 2cf smaller than our side by side. I don't notice the
difference. I actually like the freezer on bottom, seems like more space and more organized. The finger print resistance really works, it's so great. I am happy with the purchase.
There are some draw backs to this model, I would not recommend this to families that keep lots of tall or gallon size items. Both doors have non-adjustable shevles. On the door in door side, just 1 of the 3 shelves will hold a milk gallon or tall items. The bottom shelf will hold tall items but not a gallon. The top shelf will hold items the height of a standard bottle of water. All 3 shelves will hold a lot. The other door has very shallow shelves because of the hidden icemaker. The interior shelves are adjustable but the configuration options are limited, no tall items. The "quick space" shelve is useful but best for temporary tall stuff. To configure my interior for my family's use, I had to remove one of the shelves. There is no designated space for eggs in this frige, so I purchased a rolling container to hold my eggs, I don't like them to stay in the carton. Over all I do like this refrigerator. Hope this helps

The storage bin for the ice dispenser is horribly small. Not sure you could fill 4 glasses with ice. LG and Samsung both have an overflow bin for ice storage once the front door bin is full. Is there an option for a 2nd machine installed in the freezer?

Overall the refrigerator has met all my expectations. Quiet, looks great, makes plenty of ice and lots of storage space. My only two issues are that the autofill features doesn't work even close to 80% of the time. It underfills far too often. Also we found that if the sensors get dirty, Watch out because water will continue to flow at times and your floor will suffer. We now watch closely if using this feature and not walk away. The second issue is having to replace filter every 6 months and having a warning light with days overdue showing that can't be reset or disabled. We have a whole house filter and would prefer to not pay the $50/filter cost less frequently.

We have owned this refrigerator for 6 months and continue to have issues with the cooling system malfunctioning. Approximately ever other week I have to pull the refrigerator away from the wall to unplug the unit and plug back it back in hopes of re-setting the board because the refrigerator quits cooling. After a brief power outage yesterday, the refrigerator is not cooling and is not resetting. Called GE for service again and can't have a tech out for 8 days. This is the second time I have been without a refrigerator for over a week since I purchased this refrigerator. I thought I did my due diligence in researching a good product before I purchased but I was sorely mistaken.

This is a terrifically performing refrigerator. Most everything about is great except the storage shelves on the door that houses the ice maker are so small, they are virtually unusable. Some of the shelving is also oddly spaced. We have adapted.

Unfortunately the fridge is very Loud. I contacted the support team. They came to evaluate. The tech was very nice and helpful but indicated this noise is Normal. I recently bought a LG fridge for the garage at. 1/4 of the price which barely makes noise and is energy star rated. I love the fridge and look and space. However the noise is louder than any fridge we have ever had

I bought the GE Profile GE Profile Series French Door Refrigerator with TwinChill Evaporators from costs 3 months ago (end of October). The refrigerator suddenly went into freezer mode even when set to 42 degrees. The water dispenser and ice maker stopped working (maybe the waterline froze. The water filter broke open due to the ice expansion. The refrigerator freezes all my food and drinks within a few hours. We called Costco Concierge Service, who refers us to a vendor that provides "service and repair" for GE. It took one full week to schedule the "repair", which was me turning off the circuit breaker to the unit to reset the software and the repair person pushing buttons on the display and then leaving without confirm it was fixed and me telling him it was not fixed. He said we had to wait and would receive a call in 24 hours. I put a glass of water in the refrigerator and it froze within two hours. They never called back. After calling and leaving a message, we get a text saying "we have ordered a part". We called to see when they would come and were told the part will not arrive for 5-6 weeks. They just expect us to go without a refrigerator and ice maker for close to two months. Completely unacceptable!!! Don't buy GE and Costco's Conceirge Service is quite disappointing as well!!

To those who say the refrigerator and/or ice maker are noisy I disagree. I can barely hear ine (I have to listen closely to hear it) and the icemaker is virtually silent - I wasn't sure it was actually making ice until I tested it. It is MUCH bigger that an equivalent-in-size side-by-side, the lighting is excellent, and the "readouts" on the panel are great as soon as you figure out how to use them. However....there are two things to keep in mind: when measuring access through a doorway the GE number is not accurate - with the "door off" the freezer drawer there still is a part that sticks out - so it is not less than 30" and you should be aware of that (GE mentions it in the "manual" that comes with the refrigerator but not on websites)....this caused the installation to be a bigger deal than usual - dismantling and re-assembling to get through my 30 inch doorway. Second, the manual is fairly worthless - it took me a day to realized the ice maker was not "turned on" - and even then I discovered it by accident. Not a big deal, though.

The refrigerator works and looks fine , I just thought I had received the wrong one after they brought it in . I double checked the product number and it did match . I did have an issue with the delivery guys because a neighbor let us know that they had dropped it . After they left I found a bent bottom corner which I reported and they knocked a small amount off the price . I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing it out and waiting for the second one to get cold enough .

Refrigerator arrived with ice maker not working. 8 weeks later, we still have no ability to make ice. There is frost buildup on the inside left side of the fridge and on the door, even though temperatures are set appropriately. It has been a nightmare, do not buy this refrigerator.

THIS REFRIGERATOR THAT COST ME OVER $3,200.00 ONLY COOLS DOWN TO 42 DEGREES AND THE FREEZER DOESN'T FREEZE! I HAVE HAD A LOAF OF BREAD A COUPLE OF FROZEN PIZZAS AND OTHER MEATS IN THE FREEZER SINCE IT WAS INSTALLED ON NOVEMBER 24TH IT IS NOW DECEMBER 7TH !!!! I HAD A GE TECHNICIAN COME TODAY, HE SAID THE COMPRESSOR IS DEFECTIVE!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I HAD TO CALL THE DEALER AND TELL HIM I WANT A NEW ONE OR I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!! AND I AM AFRAID THE NEXT ONE I GET WILL BE A LEMON ALSO,MY 20 YEAR OLD SIDE X SIDE STILL OUTPERFORMED THIS SO CALLED NEW MODEL. GENERAL ELECTRIC WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOUR QUALITY CONTROL IS TERRIBLE!! OF COURSE THE OWNER OF GE IS A CHINESE COMPANY, THIS MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH!!
