While installing, the Installation Instructions said to use the user™™s manual included with the microwave to install the grease filters, but there was no user™™s manual included with the microwave. The quick guide showed nothing. Thankfully YouTube was available. However, it was easy to install the microwave where the prior GE microwave was.

Good replacement for my old GE Model which is no longer in production. Almost exact dimensions made for easy installation and good fit with my existing kitchen cabinets. Easy to read display with matte finish to minimize finger prints. Unfortunately the door is much lighter than the previous model and feels "cheap" when closing and latching. I question how long it will last..?

Product works fine and goes great with GE profile stove. When shutting the door, it's seems a bit tinny or hollow, unlike our earlier GE microwave where the door was a bit heavier and resulted in a more solid, firm closing.

this replaced an earlier model of a similar GE microwave--w/o sensors--which a damaged by pulling the door open too suddenly and violently. i'd had it for 6 or 7 years. the new one is fine although i find the sensor function, which i only use in beverage and reheat, a bit problematic. in beverage it tends to heat too hot.
i use it often to reheat a pasta/veggie+ stew which i first tried to use the vegetable setting for. that would usually end up in an error message. now i use the soup setting and that works.
this model seems a bit smaller inside but i could be wrong. it certainly feels less solid than the old one.

The appearance is attractive with a large array of control buttons for cooking. The vent fan isn't as noisy as my last one. The over-range light is bright. Seems to cook OK. It's noisier than my last one when running and it sounds"clanky", metallic, when the door is closed, which gives the impression that it isn't high quality. But that's to be determined since I just started using it.

The door is loud and tight to close. Keeps beeping if you take food out sooner unless you shut the button. Not so user friendly. I loved my older moder which I had for over 20 years. I guess it just takes time as you get older to manage the newer products.

This is a nice microwave, exactly what you expect out of a microwave. But when did a simple basic microwave get so expensive? its a flimsy metal box but so essential. After the installation the top is clearly bowed near the mounting bolts, seems there is little to no support other than the thin metal casing. otherwise no complaints, it cooks well and fits plenty.

My old microwave (10 years) had perfect performance for its duration.
I changed it because the door handle broke off the door, otherwise it performed perfect and the touch screen buttons never got scratched or unreadable.
This new one only 2 weeks old already the touch screen shows scratches (they are in reality delamination of the touch screen) around the buttons used often.
I will have a talk with the store that sold me the unit to see if I have any recourse, and also to find if it is covered by the manufacturer warranty.
Works fine but it looks bad for a new unit.

This needs a backlight for the control dial. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks so. This was a major complaint when I bought the one this replaced. Do you have any women designing these things? When I went to buy peel on dots ( for the poorly sighted) the first three comments was they needed it for the microwave! What does that tell us?

The microwave replaces another and lost the quality and solid feel of what I had. In the installation instruction booklet it truthfully states that noises are normal. The lack of insulation amplifies the turntable bumping sounds as it jerks along. No explanation in the installation manual about express cook feature. I never had it before. There is no backlight feature on the control panel. I have to turn the room lights on to see the panel. The surface light is not bright enough to see the panel controls.

This microwave was purchased to replace the same model, 6 years old, which had stopped heating but which fit into the space available. I ordered a black model this time instead of stainless steel and am not impressed with the appearance. This one seems to be working just fine but I am disappointed with the quality of the materials. The door feels much lighter and less sturdy than the previous one and the touch-panel has a "wavy" surface where the printed panel was not applied smoothly. I would only give the quality of the visible part of the microwave 3 stars, at most. (And why is the GE logo a flat black color when on my other appliances the logo is white? It looks like someone covered it with black magic marker. ) This microwave has the look of a cheap appliance.

Great buy for the money. Larger than our previous one and more power, so thinks heat up faster.
Would have preferred if there were 2 lights over the cook top, rather than just one. It is not nearly as bright as the 28 year-old GE microwave we replaced.
We also miss having the plethora of programmed settings for a variety of different foods. We used to have like 6 settings just for heating "snacks" - like pizza, pastry, bakery, etc.
Installation was done by a handy man, but is was very straight forward and took only 45 minutes.
We installed ours to vent through the back to the outside. Fit the existing vent ducts, so that was great.

I had the model before this, for over 20yrs. I had absolutely NO problems with it. I liked the features on it better than this one. It had a rack, so that 2 items/plates could heat. This one also doesn't have the delay start option. Installation simple. Haven't uses the ventilator yet.
