I am very disappointed in this dryer. I have owned it for 6 weeks. It is loud. The sensor drying does not work. The dryer stops before my clothes or towels are dry. I had an LG dryer for 13 years that worked great. I have already had GE service come out to my house. The technician said that the way the dryer is designed, with the sensor toward the front of the dryer, it may not detect if the towels are all dry or not. So, he told me to use the timed dry setting. To me, that defeats the purpose of having a brand new dryer. I am stuck with it for now because they will not be able to fix it according to their technician.

I purchased this dryer to replace my previous dryer of 11 years. I™™ve had the worse experience yet. The dryer lasted about 12 months. It just will not heat to dry the load properly. It™™s very inconsistent. Bodewell has come out to service it 4 times already and. cannot seem to fix it for good. It takes 2- 3 hours for one load to dry properly.

Moisture sensor does not work on this two week old dryer. Dryer shuts off when clothes are wet. On the towel setting it runs for 7 minutes. Home Depot does not support the purchase after 48 hours and GE requires that returns be made within 7 days. Online service request states that I am to pay $125 trip charge. Wish I could talk to a human but GE systems do not allow this. GE phone system does not even recoginize my input of zip code.

Capacity is very good.
We find the structure to be poor. The door is so flimsy that you have to push at the latching point to get it to close, The lint filter feels like it will break each time it's pulled, The overall unit weight, is far less than our 10 year old Maytag, which indicates a reduction in strength. I believe we will soon regret this purchase.
It seems the venting capacity has been increased to a point that the temperature does not allow prompt drying. A second cycle is often needed.

Dryer worked great for a year. Do maybe 2 loads of laundry a week, if that. Just barely over the 1 year mark it started to squeal during drying cycles. Clothes dry but now I need spend $115 to get someone out to look at it and address why it squeals. Issue might be under warranty but won™™t know unless I schedule someone to come out. I shouldn't need to pay for a tech to address the issue given the time frame.

A load of clothes does not dry with first attempt. They are always damp. I have to go to the basement two times and run the dryer again to get clothes dry. I have tried everything, including doing small loads (how efficient is that if I have to run the dryer many more times); changing cycles; changing temperature; making sure only same fabrics are done at same time. For example, men's white crew socks are done alone (small load as it's only for one person. I checked the instruction manual to make sure I am not missing anything. I am not.

The Dryer is Good. I had my previous dryer (Speed Queen) for 20 years. The GE dryer has good functionality, nice size. Doesn't dry as quickly as my older dryer. I find the I have to dry things twice using settings or just use Timed Dry for 90 minutes

The dryer has functioned as expected however it was a replacement the same GE model purchased only 6 years ago. After spending almost $200 in repairs that didn™™t fix it we had to buy this one. I hope for better performance and longer life on this new dryer

An amazing product from a brand you can trust. Packed with so many features as well as the large capacity and energy saving function. This was a welcomed replacement to an 18 year old antiquated dryer which had seen its last leg. Its very quiet when running and the efficiency of the operation of the dryer is amazing. It will make laundry day no longer a chore but an adventure. Each morning my wife uses the dryer to fluff the wrinkles out of her uniform and the quick dry feature and instant heat will allow her to get out of the house more effortlessly.

Dryer was installed yesterday. Everything has been working great until we noticed an issue with our clothes that have draw string cords. After drying, cords are severely tangled and have also gotten stuck inside the dryer which has forced us to cut the cords with scissors in order to remove that piece of clothing. So bad! Not sure what to do. Shouldn™™t be an issue we should be worried about.

When our dryer was delivered, it appeared that everything was working fine. The next morning, I washed a load of clothes, put in the dryer and then started another load of laundry. When I came down to check on the load in the dryer, it was making a loud loud noise That sounded like the drum was not on the rollers. I removed the laundry and tried using the dryer with no clothes in it. The noise was just as loud and appeared to be getting worse. At that point, I took both loads of laundry to the laundromat because I was afraid to use the dryer since it was making such a terrible loud noise. I did call the 800 number and we were able to set up delivery but not for a couple of days. The new dryer was delivered, installed and was working fine. Although I was able to get a new dryer and have the old one removed, I was a little surprised that no compensation was offered for our inconvenience and the fact that I had to drag two loads of laundry to the laundromat to get them dried. I just hope that this dryer continues working. So far we like the size of the dryer and the features that are offered.

Unfortunately the dryer we have purchased is very loud. We bought it because our previous LG stopped spinning and we didn™™t have time to wait for a repairman. The loud noise comes and goes and the salesman stopped by to check on it and said he believes the drum is off level. He said we could bring it back and he would repair it in his shop but we haven™™t had time within the past two weeks and our laundry room wasn™™t large enough to disassemble it. Besides that, I think it™™s a great appliance, however I have to give it the rating based on my experience.
