The U shape puts the compressor noise on the outside of the window. The panel opens for the air flow very smoothly and I like the moving vent feature to keep air flow even throughout the room.

I™™m impressed. I set it up by myself, quite heavy though. Easy to tie in with home Alexa, and easy install into window. Very quiet whisper, and happy with design. Nice that it has a dehumidifier integrated and all the insulation pieces included. I would recommend ordering filter right away for clean air.

Weather has been too cool since installation to actually test this appliance, but it is quieter than the one it replaces. My one gripe is the mounting bracket, which looks to have been made for several different models of air conditioner, including ones a lot bigger than this one. As installed, it sticks way out beyond the bottom of this smaller model, and there is no apparent way to adjust it to prevent this.

I absolutely love this AC unit! It cools the complete room in a matter of seconds! It™™s very quiet compared to my last unit, and I absolutely love everything about it! The remote is also a great feature.. at times when the room gets too cold, I don™™t even have to get up to turn it down! I like it.

This is a great product (efficient, quiet, great WiFi). But the warranty support is very poor. It took me three months to get a resolution from Frigidaire when my earlier product failed. And their resolution did not adequately compensate me for the cost to replace their product plus out of pocket expenses due to their fumbling. Buyer beware!

Does a very good job of cooling down a 400 sf living room. Is wifi enabled, so it can be controlled remotely, which is nice when you're on your way home and it's 95 degrees out. However, the controls on the unit are tiny, the same color as the background plastic, and the print is also miniscule. It can be controlled by the app or the remote, but both of them have their drawbacks.

This u shaped air conditioner allows so much more of my window to be visible, it runs so quietly AND the quality of the air is like nothing I've had before. It is like a gentle breeze, it cools quickly and well and it seems to achieve the perfect humidity balance as the room just feels so fresh and comfortable. All combined with. Frigidaire quality and build. I'm so happy with my new air conditioner!

Have this unit set up in our detached garage window and makes the space useable again. Installation was straightforward and easy to follow and startup was as simple as plug in and hit power on. We had a cool space within hours of operation which was impressive considering the hot humid summer days we™™ve been having in the southeast US.

Wow! Love coming home to a cool house with a wife who is not wilting from the heat. We love it! Should have purchased it years ago. We were pleasantly surprised that it seems to be quieter than our refrigerator and it fits perfectly into our window. Because we have an open concept family room/kitchen and it opens up to our dining room and living room too, it™™s a big space to cool. Our new air conditioner is absolutely perfect. The family room gets nice and cool and if we are going to spend time in other corners of our main floor, we just turn on a fan or two to spread the cool air around. We couldn™™t be happier! I purchased the 12,0000 and the 8,0000 btu units.Initially, I was looking at another split unit but the split is below not on top. However, it is known that Frigidaire is a known manufacturer of appliances, including air conditioner units. Also, for the other brand, one had to know measurements and other logistics that I just didn't have patience for. In any case, except for an installation correction (bracket installed incorrectly by the installer of the retailer), the units work very well. They are quiet. No wings because the window would then not be able to come between the unit. I abhor wings, so I am happy this innovation nixes it. I am able to operate my main one from my phone. The light indicates the air quality. The app tells you the temperature being maintained, which has been really impressive. I got these in time for about a month and a half of heat waves on the East Coast, and these units are an upgrade from the older units I previously had.If I could add anything to watch out for - make sure that your weather stripping is on point - have extra. I have plenty. The installers may not get every nook and cranny. I do like that there are no wings because there is always a hole. With the wings, one has more control to seal. The installers did very well on adding sealant around the foam. I had my own weather stripping. I don't like insects.The other thing to watch out for - if it's humid the unit will drain out water, so do ensure that the unit is installed properly. There is a drain on the back of the unit on the right side. There is also the "dry" option, which works very well when humid. It actually makes the space much cooler- but the compressor probably works a little harder as well. I keep it on "Eco" otherwise.

I replaced 3 older air conditioners with the Frigidaire Gallery and cannot be more pleased. I really appreciate how quiet this unit is. I keep it on the eco cool mode and it seems very efficient. Also the app is really easy to use for setting to sleep mode , changing temperature etc. I also use the app for when we™™re away and want to save on electricity, and we can then turn the unit back on before we get back home. The unit is relatively easy to install (even with my nearly 100 year old windows!!) and the brackets help keep it very secure. Overall a great product!

This is a great piece as it is extremely easy to install. The WiFi on the unit allows for me to control via anywhere remotely. I will usually start this before I get home so that the room is cold. The product works well, and is aesthetically pleasing. The sound level is very good at 42 db , so being right next to someone in a room , you forget that it is there. Scheduling would be a nice feature to add to the app as well as total time usage during the week like the Nest app. This product comes highly recommended for the above reasons.

This air conditioner looks sleek and is easy to install (and comes with support bracket). The first thing I noticed was that it's quietness is outstanding. The second thing I was impressed with was how quickly it cooled down the place with it's swing mode. There is no spot for a drainage hose so I was worried about dripping on my wood porch, but I have not had any issues! Overall very impressed and would recommend.
