So far the Frigidaire version of the Midea u shape is much better. I got it because of the mold issues on my 8000btu Midea. Only few things I wish I could do is. Turn the lights on the display completely off. Keep settings locked so when I turn it off and on it remembers last setting. And I wish the pure air filter also covered the front bottom vents but we™™ll see how the dust screen helps I guess. It was great that I could us the bracket from the Midea I had previously installed. Was a bit pricey compared to the Midea but if it lasts longer I™™d rather that then have to replace the Midea every 3 years

Don't install the unit in a side window, use a central window for more effective cooling. The upper vent is stronger, and forces the majority of the air more forward. I discovered low profile units are very anchored into the window for stronger support. They do not have a slide out chassis for easy maintenance.Unit is impressively quiet.

This is by far the best window unit ever owned. It's quiet. You barely know it's running. The controls are blended into the front panel so it has a sleek futuristic look. The moving louvers distribute air quite well across the room. It works seamlessly with my Google home voice commands. The proprietary app is pretty cool too You can control and monitor every aspect of the unit from afar. It fits in the window nicely The curtains talking behind it super quiet comes with a bracket so you don't have to worry about dropping the sucker out while you're installing it. I'm very happy.

I set this unit up in the kitchen/dining room in our 140 year old house. I did the entire set up on my own with no help from my husband. The bracket was a bit confusing, but through trial and error I figured it out. It rests nicely on our brick without causing any damage. The coolest part is how the window closes in between the unit, making this the most efficient unit in our house.

Worth every penny. Cools down my fifth floor apartment in humid NYC and is truly so quiet you barely hear it. I was shocked. The app can get a little wonky sometimes but overall it™™s excellent and works so quickly and quietly.

So far (2 weeks) so good. This week with temps in high 90's will be the real test. They are very quiet and cool the space nicely. We got them to replace a heat pump that failed and were quoted $10,000 or more to replace. For now we opted to buy these two window units. They were relatively easy to install.

The U-shaped window AC is perfect for our needs. It's quiet, responsive ™ the app is great ™ and very effective. Compared with other units, it was straightforward to install. And the U-shape takes away all the worry about an AC unit hanging out of a window.

I finally got this installed in my bedroom. I replaced my portable unit that would wake me up when the compressor kicked on. It didn't quite fit as my window is smaller than the recommended installation, but I was determined to make it fit. I love that it doesn't stick far into the window. It looks quite sleak. It's so quiet I barely hear it. Cools efficiently. I just love this!

A/C seems to be working great after the first week. Fairly simple installation, the outside mounting bracket seems pretty sturdy. It's a much quieter and lighter unit than our old 10,000 BTU A/C. Still wish they could find a better way to seal around the window.

The unit 8s easy to install. Functions nicely with whisper quiet operation and easy to use controls. The unit cools the room quickly. The u shaped design is nice . It lowers the amount 9f draft space and area where there is no insulation to the outside. The unit also gives a little added security since the window is mostly closed and would be hard pressed to try to push the unit in or out in case of a break in attempt.

Our house was built in 1938, so we have spots that just don™™t get good air flow. This AC unit has helped us to remedy this problem. For starters, installation was a breeze. We originally wanted to use it in a 2nd story window but fear installing it would be too difficult so we opted for our sunroom. After seeing how effortlessly installation was, I wouldn™™t hesitate to install this on a 2nd story window. The design of having the window close down between the unit was something neither my husband nor I had seen and we liked the design. Overall, installing took less than 30 mins from start to finish. The profile of the unit is narrow and sleek and doesn™™t look out of place in the room. The best feature, in my opinion, was how exceptionally quiet the unit ran. I was truly impressed with that more than anything. Overall, it™™s a nice supplement for cooling a specific area in our older home.
