he cooktop looks very professional and has a high-end appearance. We use propane gas, and it works well with it, although the power may not be quite as efficient as with natural gas.One drawback is that the surface is made of metal, which tends to show stains from spilled liquids that cannot be completely removed afterward. However, this is mostly hidden under heavy griddles. The burners are also difficult to clean due to the material they are made of. For those who cook a lot and use the cooktop daily rather than just for decorative purposes, this may be an issue.Other than that, I am happy with the overall performance and features.

I like the middle burner for simmering sauce. The lighted knobs are useful and a nice safety feature. The only thing missing is I haven™™t found a way to lock the knobs to keep kids from reaching up and turning them.

The cast iron crates that come with the cooktop are very heavy and they are also much taller than my previous cooktop. It looks & feels very sturdy, but from a usability perspective, there are a new drawbacks.Flame has to be higher for each stove due to the height of the crates. Lifting the crates each day to clean the stainless steel top is a big pain.You will need special solution to clean the crates itself. Do not use soap water and a paper napkin to clean them.

I bought this after seeing so many wonderful reviews, and I have to say ™" it really gives my kitchen such a beautiful, high-end look! I love how it elevates the space.That said, as someone who™™s only 5 ft tall, I do find the grates a bit heavy to lift ™" I almost strained my back trying to lift the grates. My bigger concern, though, is that I™™ve started noticing some discoloration just a week after installation. I™™m very careful about keeping my appliances clean, so this has been a little disappointing.I truly love the look and feel of this product and hope the company can share some advice or solutions about the discoloration so I can keep it looking new for years to come.

I purchased to replace my builder installed 4 burner 30™ gas cooktop. For years I thought why is there so much space waisted on the side with the knobs and not enough cooktop. I had a choice of buying. GE or Frigidaire. Both would have fit perfectly however I chose Frigidaire for its raised profile look due to the grates and power over the GE.

I love this cooktop. Coming from a 10 year old model from a different manufacturer this is such an upgrade. It looks high-end. The grates are heavy duty, and though others complain about this, I love it. They are very stable and flat which allows me to use all of my pans. My last cooktop allowed smaller or rounded bottom pans to "fall through" where the grates did not provide enough surface for the pans to sit level. There is plenty of room to use several burners at one time. All gas cooktops are a pain to clean, it is what it is.

Disappointing grate finish

Our cooktop had only been installed about six weeks and a 1/4" chip on the top of the first fin of the right grate suddenly appeared. We don't use heavy cast-iron skillets, so we're at a loss as to how this could've occurred. Customer service is telling me this is cosmetic, not covered by my warranty. We've had gas cooktops with black grates for over 50 years and I've never had one chip like this. In my opinion, the coating was flawed, causing this to happen since we can't figure out any other reason. One very disappointed customer. We had several cooktops to consider and chose the Frigidaire and are now wishing we had chose a different brand. not only because of the chip, but because of a customer service that could care less about the problem and merely dismissed us as a cosmetic issue not covered by the warranty.

This gas 5 burner cooktop, Frigidaire Gallery, heats well, but has a design flaw. The 2 outer grates are held down by the middle grate. So if you want to wipe up a spill under one side or the other, you're supposed to first remove the middle grate and then lift up the side grate. This is too much trouble, especially since the grates are heavy. I end up just lifting the side grate even though the middle grate comes up, too. It's heavy, but the way you're supposed to do it takes too much effort just to wipe a little spill. I should have studied all of the brand choices first before purchasing this brand. Now whenever we go in a store that sells appliances, we look at the stove tops we could have had. All or most other brands have grates that can be lifted independently from other grates. The grates are also a tad too tall. They could be 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter.

Installed this new Frigidaire gas cooktop one week ago. First thing we've noticed is that the cooktop generates more heat than our previous model. This is a good thing, not a bad thing, we just need to adjust how we use the new burners and settings. So far, so good.

In order to clean only one burner you have to remove all three extremely large, heavy, and cumbersome grates that cover the entire stovetop. They don't even fit in my sink. This is just to clean one small area of the stovetop. Also I can't simmer at a low temperature without boiling. In addition the stainless steel is lovely to look at when new but scratches easily. I advise not to purchace this model.

I love the looks and the way this cooktop works. It™™s amazing. Unfortunately when I looked for a new cooktop I didn™™t realize that these new models were not all equipped with a thermocouple. This is crazy!! In my opinion for the safety of all, they should automatically come with this. This is a safety feature that keeps the gas from flowing when cooktop doesn™™t ignite.
