Very happy with the performance of my 6000BTU air conditioned. The assembly instructions could have been a little better with regard to the attachment of the upper "L" bracket which the side curtains slide into. The performance of the unit has met my expectations. Looking foward to many years of service.

I am a repeat buyer of Frigidaire air conditioners. My latest purchase has not disappointed. My only issue with the conditioner is the noise level. Compared to previous units, the level is slightly higher with a gurgling sound while cooling.

I bought this AC for my bedroom after doing some extensive research on all different types of ACs. This one a decent price, had an energy star rating, could be operated by remote, and was well reviewed by others online so I opted to buy it. It was very easy to install, and it does cool the room very quickly when placed on cool mode with the fan up on high. After using it for a couple of days, I am not the biggest fan of the remote - it™™s clunky and ugly looking compared to how nice the AC looks, and I don™™t like that the temperature on the remote doesn™™t match the temperature that is set on the AC. Instead it reads the temperature of the room. It also does not glow in the dark, so trying to see the buttons at nighttime has proved challenging. I am also not a fan of the sleep mode - it brings your room temp up at least 4 degrees from your set temp overnight, which is too much for me. Both times I used sleep mode, I have woken up really hot and sweaty, which defeats the purpose of having an AC. I have began to use eco cool mode at night, and that works better for me.

Just purchased this unit today to replace one that was over 20 years old. It was very easy to setup and install in the window where the old A/C was. All of the controls work as does the remote. Once I turned it on and set the controls to cool the bedroom, it took it from 80 degrees to 70 in under an hour. Not bad.

This unit recently replaced a unit from another manufacturer that failed after only a few months of use. I had a Frigidaire at my former home & it always worked. This arrived at the end of the summer, so it was not used yet, except a quick on/off to see that it worked. One gripe - it was professionally installed & the unit in a closed box, opened in front of me, had no filter included. I called Frigidaire parts and they still have not sent me the filter, which I will need for next summer.

This A/C was exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want to get the premium price point units but wanted one that was still not loud and clunky. This unit definitely fit the bill. We have this unit in our living room and we don't have to blast our TV to hear it over the A/C. That is a nice change. The only thing that is a little difficult is the mode indications on the unit. You have to look up close on the unit to see what setting it is on. Nevertheless, I still highly recommend this unit.

Adequate for a small room. Does the job, but needs a good half hour to cool the down to where it's comfortable, so turn it a head of time. Note its shape is different from a larger model we have in the dining room. The new one has a kind of upside-down U shape to fit over the lip of the window sill, where the older model is more square. I found the new one a little harder to install because to the shape I had to put wood outside the window instead of inside as before. This may be due to having very old storm windows in the house. So far its working fine, but I have only had it about two months. Granted the old one is about six years old and working fine, but the older one also seems to be a more quality build. Time will tell.

unit is only 2 years old yet it starts to ice over very quickly when running in dry mode with fan at low speed. Same problem when in cool mode. Older models seemed to hold up much better. Running unit in cool mode and fan in auto seems to work, but not sure for how long.

MAJOR Design 101 Flaw discovered in All Windows mounted units in my home where I use them as Zone Cooling for bedrooms so that I do not need run Central Air system constantly or as hard. What is the Design Flaw? Water from the Evaporator Coil upfront where it condenses the water out of the air drains into the bottom tray and then exits the tray at the far right corner into the bottom pan of the unit. That water combined with rain water... HAS NOWHERE TO GO. It sits there until it finally builds enough water height to drain out of a raised edge drain hole in approximate center of the unit. The water that is TRAPPED in the pan causes Multiple Issues. 1) Health Hazard from stagnating water to result in Sick Building Syndrome. The water evaporates back into the room as the unit outside is exposed to heat and sun. Black mold grows using the water as a source of continuous moisture present. ALL of my 4 units had Black Mold Growth throughout them. Cleaning the filter is NOT the cause. It is the continous presence of water from removing the humidity in the air such as encountred in Texas and then of course rain, etc. 2) Ants and bugs use it as a source of water. They invade your home even at the 2nd floor 3) Accelerated Corrosion of entire unit with all components in constant water bath resulting in premature destruction of unit and integrity of steel bottom due to Rust. One unit literally had the bottom fall apart when touched with only the paint holding it together?! 4) They pose a Safety Hazard to anyone below them or Handling them because there is the potential for Failure to fall due to the accelerated corrosion and rusted bottom no longer able to suppor the weight of the components such as the coil, compressor, fan, etc 5) Safety hazard created by all of this that can lead to an Electrical Fire and Water Damage to the building. I had water coming out the front of the pan back in the room when the black mold growth plugged the drainage hole and all of the biological growth occurring in the bottom of the main pan?! All of this was a SIMPLE DESIGN FLAW. They are Missing 1/2" Drainage Holes in the bottom pan where it was clearly designed to be a Sump for water to collect right behind the bottom right evaporator coil drain pan hole. This was discovered on multiple units dating back to 2008 including a Brand New Unit received this week of Oct 2020. When I called Frigidaire, their response was to vacuum it out?? Hello... they need to Add Holes. I recommend anyone reading this to Drill the missing holes yourself also in existing units. Black Mold, Biological Growth, Bugs, Safety Hazards Galore. Frigidaire and Arctic King (Rebranded Frigidaire Unit) All had this Fatal Design Flaw.
