We happily purchased our made in USA made Frigidaire 30" Cooktop on12/26/2020. From the beginning the eyes cooked very hot making it hard to simmer food, without boiling, even on low. I tried the Quick Boil feature briefly, but it was much too hot. I usually only used that eye with one, not two, burner. If I boiled water for pasta, I used the back large eye. My husband like the Quick Boil feature to boil eggs. One day we noticed two large cracks in the glass above the Quick Boil unit. We have no idea how or when the cracks happened. I sadly can't recommend the Frigidaire 30" Cooktop, since it cracked within 18 months of purchase From the photographs taken today, it is easy to see that the cooktop has not been abused. If you enlarge the photo of the eye you can see the 2 large cracks in the Quick Boil eye. I can no longer use the cooktop because research on Internet said it was an electrocution hazard.

Cooktop is slow to heat. The quick boil element is not quick at all, it takes a considerable amount of time to achieve the desired temperature. For general cooking It cycles off and on too much and doesn't generate enough heat to sear meat or cook a stir fry of vegetables and protein. My prior cooktop had a hot surface light for each individual burner. On this Frigidaire unit, there is only one hot surface indicator light . Without putting your hand over an area there's no way to tell which burner is hot. I have accidentally let the handle of spatula touch and melt the utensil handle and I've also touched a hot burner and burned my hand. For safety purposes an indicator light for each burner should exist. In summary, my dissatisfaction is due to 1) burners are slow to heat. 2) burners do not get hot enough. 3) Safety is an issue due to insufficient indicators of which burner is actually hot. I do regret having purchased this unit and would not recommend it.

Overall stove top is a good product. However had so difficulty on the installation. The new stove cooktop was about an inch too wide to fit into existing cut out. Had to modify the cabinet to make the stove to set flush on the countertop. This would have been a quick installation, but it took about 3 hours to make adjustment to cabinet so cooktop would fit properly.

My new cooktop was easy to install, the self centering spring clips are a nice feature. Counter cutout was perfect from my old GE cooktop. It cooks great, boils water great and fast. Much better than the old style. I have not used cast iron on this cook top yet. Electrical connections were easy, the only hard part was getting under the counter to wire it up, being 67 years old the old bones don't move as well when I was younger.

Initially I wanted a touch-control cooktop, and even found one (Empava) for a similar price as the Frigidaire. But the Empava was far less powerful , and so despite my aversion to knobs on the countertop surface level, I got this Frigidaire. It was the right choice. It has good power and seems to work well. I just installed it a few weeks ago so this is initial impression only. For me, with burners any less powerful I would be deeply unhappy, and I™™m not, so good job Frigidaire! Years ago I used a touch-control GE Profile cooktop and it was even more powerful, but this unit is also a solid contender, suitable for people who cook regularly™¦ and Waaaaay less expensive than a GE-Profile.

I like the look of this cooktop and it was priced right but I have found it to be a disaster. I installed it less than six months ago and I was cooking dinner, something I do each night, and the top of the pot fell over as the water was boiling. It hit the edge of the cooktop and the whole thing shatter, making a very large crack. I can't believe that a cooktop, meant for COOKING would shatter so easily. If you plan to do more than just look at your cooktop I do not recommend purchasing this product.

This product performs well except for the closeness of the 4 burners. However, this is due to the small size needed to fit into the space available. The fact that it is small and the need to turn the handles of the pans inward makes for an awkward working area when using all burners. If the handles are turned inward to the right, they interfere with your adjusting the heat because the knobs for the heat are on the right side of the cooktop. Another concern is the fact that the glass top remain HOT for a long period after you turn the burners off. This is dangerous to a small child as they can not see the small red warning light in the right front corner of the Cooktop;.As you know children place their hand on the counter top when they can not see what is on che counter. Also of concern is the fact that the first one they put in one burner burnt out when it was tested after installation. It was turned on one time and never worked again. The Unit was replace and now worked well. I chose this unit because if believed it would be eay to keep clean, however, it is difficult to remove the spatter grease shows as smears even after repeated cleaning. However, the cleaning solution that comes with it seems to take take of that problem, but having to use a special cleaner all the time is a problem. You only get a small bottle and that become another cleaning solution that you have to buy. Another problem is the fact that the pan on the burner slide rather easily as you try to flip something in the pan, and if you have any bans with a bowed bottom they do not work well on this glass top. Over all I am satisfied with this product and believe that most if not all of the facts stated her would apply to any brand of Cooktop that is a glass top model.

The cook top is a advertised. The guaranteed fit was very good. It works very well. It heats up very fast. One thing I would like better is the warning heat light. Each burner does not have a warning light. So you have to remember which burner you used .Another thing I would have liked is double sided tape to put down to keep cook top in place better.It was nice to get a small bottle of cook top cleaner.Overall I would recommend this product.

The burners heat up quickly and maintain constant temperature. The large burners are the correct size for the large pots I have and the small burners are perfect for my smaller saucepans. The simmer feature has been perfect for making stocks that simmer at a constant low temperature for many hours.
